Ferris Wheel, Black Beef/Pork, Meiji Restoration Museum
Amulan, a large Ferris wheel located on the roof of Amu Plaza commercial complex directly connected to Central Station, is one of the highlights of Kagoshima City, offering a panoramic view of the active volcano Sakurajima and the bay. Kuroge Wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork are of the highest quality, so please try them out.

The Ferris wheel is located in Amu Plaza, a commercial complex directly connected to the station. It houses many popular clothing stores, restaurants, cafes, and game centers including crane games.
Ferris Wheel, Amuran
A large Ferris wheel with a diameter of approximately 60m and a maximum height of 91m, which is visually impressive because it is located on top of a building. From the Ferris wheel, you can see an amazing view of Sakurajima, the symbol of Kagoshima, right in front of you and a panoramic view of Kagoshima city. The rotation speed is set to 14 minutes and 30 seconds per revolution, and it rotates approximately 13 meters per minute. The speed is average, but the size of the Ferris wheel is large, so it can be said that the boarding time is relatively long.
This Ferris wheel has two "see-through gondolas" with transparent floors, ceilings, and even bench seats. If you don't mind heights, please come and experience the thrill at a height of approximately 91m.
Museum of Meiji Restoration
Museum of Meiji Restoration exhibits the history of Japan's industrial revolution and the completely new, modernized government that followed the samurai shogunate in the late 19th century.

Ferris wheel fee: 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for children (3 years old and under high school students), 1,200 yen for one gondola.
Lunch(you and the guide) will cost around 2,000 yen per person.

“Wonderful day in kagoshima”
Hitomi was a wonderful guide! Unfortunately we didn’t have great weather but she certainly made the most of it and was very flexible to our schedule due to weather. She also took us to the best lunch we have had in Japan. Would absolutely recommend!

“Hidden Sakurajima”
Due to circumstances the plan was changed but Hitomi was quick to adapt. As it was cloudy we could not see the top of Sakurajima but still learnt a lot at the visitor Center. The highlight though was the wagyu lunch as it pleased some tough critics. Hoping to come back again and hopefully see the full view of Sakurajima.

I thought there was only one tough critic, but there were actually some! you are such a great writer. It was a shame that the weather and the cherry blossoms weren't in bloom yet, but I'm glad you enjoyed the Wagyu Yakiniku. Continue your wonderful cruise ship journey!
