Shiroyama Observatory 鹿兒島市城山展望台
Ａ 107-meter hill located in the center of Kagoshima city.
Here with spectacular views over downtown Kagoshima, Kagoshima Bay and active volcano Sakurajima.
The local hero Saigo Takamori (is known as the Last Samurai of Japan) , his statue is located infornt of the Saigo Cave, on the way to Observatory.

“Sini is an amazing guide in Kagoshima ”
We had a wonderful day with Sini. She made sure we saw all the prominent sights in Kagoshima. We started with a ferry ride to Sakurajima; went to 2 observatories on Sakurajima; soaked our feet in warm volcanic water, and ate udon/soba noodles on the ferry back. Then to Sanganen Garden and Mount Shiroyama Observatory Park. Sini was great at explaining the history of all the sights. We highly recommend her!!!
