Kamakura is a very old and historic coastal city, less than an hour south of Tokyo. Kamakura used to be the political center of Japan, where the Shogun Minamoto Yoritomo chose as the seat for his new military government in 1192. Today, it is a very popular tourist destination where you can find and explore a lot of remains from meadival Japan era. We'll explore the best of Kamakura in this half day tour. The itinerary is just an example and could be tailored to meet your needs and preferences.

Meeting Point
At Kita Kamakura station
- We will meet at JR East's Kita-Kamakura station. Exact meeting spot will be notified to you prior to the tour date.
Enkaku-ji Temple
We will start our tour by visiting Enkaku-ji temple. Enkaku-ji is established in 1282 and now registered as one of Japan's National treasures. In its Zen temple we can view its magnificent Mountain gate. After a visit to Enkaku-ji temple, this tour continues to visit a series of ancient and traditional temples and shrines, which includes;
・Kencho-ji temple
・En nou-ji temple
・Zeni Arai "Wash money" Benten temple
・Kamakura Big Budda statue
・Hase-dera temple
Tsurugaoka Hachiman gu Shrine
After the visit to Hase dera temple, we will ride a very charming train called Eno-den to arrive at Kamakura station. From Kamakura station we will walk and visit the famous Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine sits the "Ancient God of War" and worshiped by Shogun Minamoto clan. After the visit to the shrine we will walk to charming shopping street of "Komachi Dori" where we can do some souvenir shopping and eat our lunch. After Komochi Dori, we will walk back to Kamakura station and finish the tour. This tour is fully customizable and could be extended into a full day tour which may include a visit to Enoshima island and surrounding sea shore areas.

Entry Fee to temples and shrines, for you and guide (average of about ¥500 per visit per person)
Optional cup of coffee or tea for you and guide (please allow minimum of ¥700 per a cup)
Optional lunch at Kamakura for you and guide (please allow minimum of ¥1500 per person. Price may vary according to your preference)
