My girlfriend and I had a great one-day trip with Hiroshi. Communicating and planning our itinerary ahead of time was very easy to do with Hiro. On the day of our tour, he offered to take our photos in a few locations, and he shared them with us via email a few days later. His English was excellent and we made good use of public transit to get around efficiently between tour stops. He shared a lot of background knowledge and history with us, which helped give more meaning to the temples and parks we visited with him. We saw sights that we likely wouldn't have seen without his guidance (particularly in the Geisha towns in Gion), he didn't seem to mind that our tour ran a little overtime (which we appreciated), and he even suggested places to visit on our own the next morning before we left Kyoto. All in all a fantastic guide, Hiro is highly recommended!
Dear Alex I am very grateful to you for your great reviews of the tour in Kyoto on Feb 26. I am also very glad to hear from that both of you really enjoyed yourself in the one day trip in Kyoto. I got relieved that you maneged to encounter with a few of Maiko-san who were walking through in the narrow path in Gion. Best regards Mar 12 Hiroshi Y.
We loved Hiro-san. He was great and showed us nice places in Kyoto and Nara. I highly recommend him.
Dear Aparna Thank you for your compliments for tours in Kyoto and Nara. I felt happy that all of you looked really enjoying the tours in so charming city in Kyoto and once the ancient capital of Japan in Nara. Best regards Feb 28 Hiroshi Y.
We had a really great day with Yoshi visiting a number of sights around Kyoto. He was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to have answers for all our questions. He has a genuine warmth and a real sense of pride in his cultural traditions. It was certainly very insightful in terms of learning a lot more about Japanese culture and traditions. Also Yoshi sets a cracking pace to ensure you can cover as much as possible in a day , my 2 teenagers struggled to keep up with him! I would certainly recommend Yoshi to anyone looking to make use of covering the major attractions of Kyoto in a day, you wont be disappointed. He even helped me find a replacement set of reading glasses after i had left mine on the plane to Japan.
We used Hiro for one day in Kyoto. He was very knowledgeable about the temples that he took us to and spoke English well. The only issue we had is that he was WAY too fast paced for my family. He had an itinerary and there was no deviation from his time table or what he had planned. He was often way ahead of us and we had a hard time keeping up. My son wasn’t feeling well and could not keep up with the pace. My son and I ended up leaving the tour early and my daughter and husband stayed with Hiro the rest of the day. I still would recommend him, but you should tell him up front your expectations.
Dear Beth Thank you Beth for your compliment on Dec 25 tour in Kyoto. I always take care of time shedule of the tour and I walk on so fast without caring for my guests. Sorry, I made a mistake. I should walk more slowly than usual on that day because your son was not in good condition. Best regards Jan 10 Hiroshi Y.
