This tour covers key sites of Mt. Fuji and its surroundings with beauty and wonders of nature. I will also cover the cultural aspect of this World Heritage Site. I will meet you at your hotel and will escort you back to your hotel. As I designed this tour, I focused on full coverage of key sites of Mt. Fuji in regards to geography, culture and history, plus time and budget efficiency utilizing a coach (bus) transport from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area. Your safety/satisfaction will be my #1 key.

Meeting Point
At your hotel
Pick you up at your hotel in Tokyo and escort you to Shinjuku bus terminal from where we depart for Mt. Fuji area
The key issue for this tour is transportation "from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area" and also "around Mt. Fui". The best solution, I believe, would be the combination of an economical coach bus for the long distance travel "from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area" and "a hired car or van around Mt. Fuji area". The one-way coach fee is Yen 2,200 (US$15) and the basic hourly hired car/van fee is Yen 7,020 (US$50). You will need just about 4 hours for the tour around Mt. Fuji.
Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center - Admission free
This is your first visit of the day for a quick preview of the tour. With free admission, you will learn the overall feature of Mt. Fuji with its natural, cultural and historical characteristics.
Arakura Sengen Shrine - Admission free
One of the most famous Instagram Photo Spots in Mt. Fuji sites. I will walk you through the famous Shinto Shrine with the stunning view of Mt. Fuji, weather permitting.
Tsuji-ya Restaurant - you will pay your lunch expense
One of the best authentic Japanese restaurants in the area with quality local food. The owner and the restaurant team will host you with their warmest hospitality and variety of authentic Japanese food.
8 Ponds of Oshino (Oshino Hakkai)
Witness the wonder of water around Mt. Fuji. You will be amazed by the clarity and wonder of the water in those ponds - the water is the result of wonderous dynamic of nature around Mt. Fuji. The water you see in those ponds is the mater which is the result of the melting snow from 20 years ago. The snow that accumulated onto the mountain 20 years ago has melted and has been absorbed into the cave, soil and rocks of the mountain and resrufaced and sprang to those ponds - really amazaing dymatic of natural water circulation.

The view may be affected by the weather condition of the day, so if the clouds and moisture interferes of the view, I will try my best to offer you some alternatives such as museums and/or sites that are not affected by the weather.

“Wonderful day with tom”
Our two days with Tom were such a wonderful experience and introduction to Tokyo. He met us at our hotel and we instantly bonded over the fact that he had lived in the USA for many years. He was such an intelligent and professional guide who showed us the best of Tokyo in two full days. We walked all over the subway system with ease and experienced so many of the top sites in Tokyo. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Tom is as a guide. And will be recommending him to everyone I know.

Good thoughts radiate. Lin and the team were so kind and thoughtful. During those two days while I luckily had a chance to guide them, I have never had a notion that I was working. As we say it, time flies when we are having fun. It was such a quality time for me to spend with a nice person as Lin and a group. Meeting with such a nice person at work gives me a wonderful perspective for the future, meaning I look forward to the next job. Human psychology is that good experience gives you a similar insight and expectations for the near future. I truly appreciate you!!

“Tsutomu Must Be Tokyo's Best Guide”
Tom is a very thoughtful and caring person. Before we began the day he took tome to understand our piorities and he ensured they were met. This included time at Tokyo Station helping us with train ticketing for later in our visit to Japan. For the sites we visited Tom took the time to explain the historical and cultural significance of each. Tom was prepared with maps and visual aids to support sharing information. During a shared lunch we enjoyed the exchange of information on a variety of topics. This helped us to have a deeper appreciation of life in Japan. But back to the beginning, Tom listened to us and ensured our needs were met. He is much more than a tour guide. My wife and i had an excellent day with Tom. J & S 7 May 2025

Good thoughts radiate. If I was able to provide good service with positive mental attitude, it was solely thanks to the warm hearts and quality personality of my guests, Joseph and Sharyn, who were very kind and thoughtful all along the way. I truly enjoyed the pleasant conversation which I was hoping that it would not end. Joseph and Sharyn, you are the very reason why I love the job of tour guiding. I hope there will be a chance when we meet again. I will be wishing nothing but the very best for you and your beautiful family. Sincerely, Tom Harada
