Itinerary

Meeting Point
At your hotel in Tokyo 23 Districts
Your hotel in Tokyo
I will meet with you at your hotel in Tokyo to start your wonderful tour!
① FUKAGAWA EDO MUSEUM (60 minutes) - This is the best museum for EDO Era of Tokyo.
EDO is an old name of Tokyo. The name EDO comes from the old name of the city that goes back to the 17th century. "FUKAGAWA EDO MUSEUM" offers vivid and "real" atmosphere of the lives and people of the old times. There is no restrictions of photo and/or video shooting, so I will help you to take pictures/videos of yours with the "people" and lives of the 17th century Tokyo.
② TSUKIJI (60 minutes) - Japan's oldest fresh food market
This used to be the world's biggest and busiest sea food and fresh food market. Now although the market has been shifted to Toyosu, Tsukiji still attracts people from all over the world and Japan for its nostalgic and practical charms. You will enjoy street food such as fresh sushi, sea food, Kobe beef and variety of fruits. Plus there are some green tea and kitchen ware shops.
Lunch in the central Tokyo area
LUNCH (60 minutes) - At an authentic Japanese restaurant for your favorite cuisine
③ HAMARIKYU GARDEN (60 minutes) - One of Tokyo's most renowned Japanese gardens
This is an epitome of historical wonder of Tokyo – fusion of old history and modern cosmopolitanism. If you stand in the middle of this gorgeous garden, which offers you very wide natural perspective in the middle of Tokyo, you will feel somewhat mysterious sensation as if you were in “time machine”. In fact, this garden is the time machine itself. The properties from Edo Era of 17th century are surrounded by towering 21st century buildings. The famous “300 year-old pine tree” will give you strong spiritual power for longevity of life.
④ Tokyo Tower (60 minutes)
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and its height is 333 meters. As of today, Tokyo Tower is Japan’s 2nd highest construction.
It is a historical and nostalgic monument for Japanese people. Even after a much higher tower was constructed in 2012, which is Tokyo Sky Tree Tower with the height of 634 meters, Tokyo Tower has always been Japan’s popular sightseeing place for such nostalgia.
This "nostalgic" sensation is one of the most unique experiences you can ever expect - just like its European counterpart, Eiffel Tower of Paris.
⑤ GINZA (30 minutes) - Japan's most famous high end shopping districs
Ginza is located in the center of Tokyo. It is a high end shopping & commercial area. For its luxurious image, Ginza is often compared with the 5th Ave of New York City or Oxford St of London. Other than the high end shopping or window shopping, you could visit fine art galleries in Ginza for classical paintings, modern arts & crafts work. Let's enjoy the highest of Japan's sophistication.
⑥ AKIHABARA (60 minutes) - Japan's top electronics and pop culture center
Back to your hotel or wherever you wish to end the tour
If you end the tour, at wherever you wish to end, you will save a traveling time to your hotel, such as 30 - 40 minutes. I will give you the precise directions of public transportation so you could return to your hotel if you prefer it that way, or of course, I would be happy to escort you back to your hotel.
Ending Point
At your hotel in Tokyo 23 Districts

“The best guide ever!!”
Tsutomu san treated us like family, like ohana. He was patient, kind, playful, and extraordinarily hospitable!! He accommodated our age ranges and physical limitations. Tsutomu-san also went way above and beyond to entertain and play with my children, engage our papa in wonderful conversation, and ensure we were comfortable and supported. We could not have asked for a better or more warm and welcoming person to take us around Tokyo. It was truly a pleasure and we’ve made a dear friend!!! Uncle Tsutomu-san is the best (littelest kid, age 3)

Kamakana san and a beautiful family from Tsutomu, Once again I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity of guiding you. Time passes quickly when we are having fun. That’s exactly what happened when I was with you and your family. It was cold outside in the winter but inside my heart got so warm thanks to you and your family. Everything was so natural and I enjoyed every moment during your tours. It’s great I have pictures of the wonderful memories of your tours. You have given me a great influence for my perspective of future guests, which is, the optimism for my future tour guide work. You have brightened my unknown future view of tour guide career by being such naturally considerate guests. You have reminded me of how we can treat people by being naturally kind. I will be wishing nothing but the very best for you and your beloved family. Thanks again for making me so happy. Sincerely,
Kamakana W.
“Amazing, truly personalized custom private tour!”
Tsutomu san exceeded every expectation! He was extraordinarily thoughtful, detailed, and flexible with out family which included ages 3-74. His thoughtfulness included taking pictures of our family at every stop and collate them to match a numbered/alphabetized map of the Tokyo metro so that we can match each picture with each stop, walking hand in hand with my 3yr old, and adjusting our tour to perfectly match our pace and preferences on the spot. Truly made our first day in Tokyo amazing and so special!!! Mahalo Tsutomu san! We look forward to our second tour with you!!

Today’s tour was not “work” for me. I can define it as “family activity”. When you do something for your family, you are truly motivated to do your best. You don’t need to “think” when you do something for your family. When you do something for your family, the last thing you wish to do is disappointing them. You naturally and unconsciously perform your best. I really appreciate you for motivating me to do my best, which came so naturally in me as soon as we started this morning. You are the very reason why I love the job of tour guiding. If you need any support while you are in Hokkaido, please do not put up with any inconveniences - you are here to enjoy yourselves. Please call me so I can try to help you. I hope the jet lag will be gone soon - enjoy!!!

“Outstanding Guide”
My wife and I toured four days with Tom. I highly recommend him as your private tour guide. He customized each day to our priorities and was knowledgeable about each site visited. He was thoughtful and communicated effectively both in planning and while on tours. We felt comfortable and safe at all times. Definitely exceeded our expectations.

Stephen and Sherri from Tom, I really appreciate the wonderful time you so kindly allowed me to spend with you. I also thank GoWithGuide for presenting me with such a wonderful opportunity. While it was an important work for me, it has turned out to be more like a quality time I truly enjoy being with such nice people. I feel that I truly enjoyed working for you during those 4 days. If my service was good, it’s a pure reflection of how nice of people you are. Meeting with nice people is the greatest joy in doing the tour guide. I want to thank you once again for making me happy. I will think about you a lot and I hope we will meet again!! Sincerely, Tsutomu “Tom” Harada

Basic concept of this tour is to cover the key sites of Tokyo . You will see both the old and new faces of Metropolitan Tokyo altogether. This tour is based on public transportation, so it will involve some walkings but I will adjust the amount of walking depending on your condition and feelings. Regardless of the season, I will include the seasonal beauty of Japan for your fullest satisfaction.

Full Day Nikko Key Sites #1 (11 Hours)
In Japan, there is a saying (pun) that goes "Don't say Kekko until you see Nikko", which means "Don't say you are fully satisfied until you see Nikko". This tour covers all of those key sites with my professional explanation of history and culture behind those heritages. Let's discover beauty of Nikko and exclaim "Kekko!!"
