Visit historical places which related to Hidden Christian's martyrdom in old Omura domain area. Most of the places relates to KORI-KUZURE martyrdom(in 1658) which was the biggest martyrdom in Omura. 99 life in jail, 78 died in jail, 411 excuted out of 608 captured Christians in Omura.
(Standard) means must go places, (Optional) means may be added by the requests. Some spots are without parking area, so you need to walk some distance.

Meeting Point
At somewhere in OMURA city, in the case of the remote area from OMURA, meet-up fee will be requested in cash, and waste your tour time, too.
(Standard) OMURA History museum(20min):
Part of exhibitions display the history of Christianity in Omura area. Explain about the history of Christianity in Omura.
(Optional) SANJO castle site(3min):
OMURA domein's main castle from 1564 to 1599. OMURA SUMITADA mainly used. Later on change the castle to KUSHIMA castle.
(Standard) TENSHO Youth Delegation monument of honnor (5min):
A monument of the first Japanese Christian delegation dispatched to European Cathoric countries in 1582.
(Optional) Ending place of OMURA SUMITADA (the first Christian DAIMYO[Japanese feudal lord]) (3min):
1st Christian Daimyo of Japan close his life this place in 1587.
(Standard)SONOGI port, 26 Martyrs boarding port to Nagasaki (15min):
Visit a monument of 26 Martyrs boarding from this port to across OMURA bay to TOGITSU port, NAGASAKI in 1597.
(Optional) KUSHIMA castle(10min):
OMURA domain's main castle used from 1599 to 1871. Built by OMURA YOSHIAKI (Son of SUMITADA).
(Standard) HONKYO-JI temple(5min):
Omura Daimyo family's Buddhist temple that was built after abandon of Christianity in 1605.
(Standard) IMADOMI Christian tomb stone(5min):
Built in 1614, Cathoric style tomb stone, miraculously escaped from destraction.
(Standard) OBITORI Martyrdom site (5min):
2 foreign priests were excuted at this place in 1617, 1st Cathoric martyrdom in Omura domain.
(Standard) SUZUTA jail (5min):
35 arrested Cathoric priests and believers were confined during 1617-1622 until their excution.
(Standard) HOKOBARU Martyrdom square (10min):
A place of Cathoric martyrdom, 131 local Cathoric believers were martyred here in 1658 as the part of KORI-KUZURE.
(Standard) SAISHI-WAKARE no ishi (Tear stones) (5min):
131 local Cathoric were separated with families there on martyrdom day in 1658.
(Standard) KUBI-ZUKA (5min):
131 Cathoric martyrs beheaded heads were buried this place in 1658.
(Standard) DOU-ZUKA (5min):
131 Cathoric martyrs beheaded bodies were buried this place in 1658.
(Standard) GOKUMON-JO site (5min):
131 Cathoric beheaded heads were displayed this place for 20 days in 1658.

Tour Important Information
The tour price includes only guiding fee and Meet-up fee.
You will pay the excluding fees such as Rental car or Taxi related fees, Parking and toll-road (if used).
I can managed to shorten or extend the tour time 4(minimum) to 6 hours by your request.
We use a Rental car or taxi for transportation; and you pay all the cost. It costs different depends on the type of the car. I inform you estimated rental car cost in the proposal tour plan before your booking.
Museum will be closed on designated day.
Important message from the supplier
My guiding rate is 5,000 JPY hourly (up to 4 pax), and 6,000 JPY hourly (5 to 8 pax), and a Meet-up fee (Guide's transportation fee back and forth to the meeting spot) is 5,000 JPY (in Nagasaki city).
For example, an 8-hour tour for 4 pax costs 40,000 JPY plus 5,000 JPY; 45,000 JPY is the tour price. You pay for this when you book the tour.
Please remember you will pay for the admission of pay facilities and meals on-site.
Up to 4 customers are accommodated in my private car (Toyota Prius), but more than 4 guests need to rent a suitable size rental car (5 to 8 pax) or hire a jumbo taxi (8 pax max) during the tour. The rental car and taxi costs vary depending on the conditions, so my published tour price doesn't include car costs. If you use my private car, you will pay 4,000 JPY (including the parking, toll road and fuel).
After the negotiation of the tour, I will fix the car-related price and add this price to the published tour price so that you realize the total tour price before you book it.
You only pay the admission of pay facilities and meals on-site.
My coverage areas are all over Nagasaki, Saga, and Fukuoka Prefectures, including the remote islands of Nagasaki. But I live in near Omura city in Nagasaki Pref., so far places from my house cost more Meet-up fee (Guide's transportation back and forth to the meeting place).
Additionally, I work in Nagasaki and Okinawa, in two prefectures for about half a month each place. So if you intend to travel to Okinawa, visit my Okinawa account page, and check my schedule calendar of Okinawa.

“Don’t miss out this day in Nagasaki with Hero!”
I am a US Army veteran so when i noticed that Hero is a veteran of the Japanese Army, I was excited to book with him to see Nagasaki and learn about what happened there so many years ago through the eyes of a fellow veteran. Hero is an amazing guide. Kind, considerate and patient. I so enjoyed comparing military stories. He is very informative on the events of Nagasakis history and exploring the city and museum was one of the highlights of our trip. It gave me an appreciation and respect of the world altering event that took place there and the suffering of the innocents. We must all commit to avoiding such decision at any costs. Spending the day with Hero was like meeting a friend to show you around. He even prepared some homemade pastries and coffee for us. “Amazing time with Hero in Sasebo ”
By the time we arrived in Sasebo we were towards the end of our cruise. This was our second booking with Hero and we really enjoyed our time with him. It was as if a long time friend was showing us around his hometown. Hero was kind and thoughtful and very accommodating to our needs. His command of English is very good. He is easy to understand. He was so thoughtful enough to have a coffee break for us with pastries he made himself. This tour is the 3rd day of 4days GOTO pilgrimage tour. The itinerary is not for one day tour. It covers only 1/4 of GOTO pilgrimage tour. GOTO islands are composed of many islands. A few numbers of shuttle ships and special charter ships are the only transportations connecting each island. At least 3days or more need to visit the whole main islands of GOTO.

Firstly this is not specialized for Hidden Christian sites. If you wanna pilgrimage tour, choose another tour "Pilgrimage Hirado & Ikitsuki island (from Sasebo)" Visit the high lights sightseeing spots of HIRADO and IKITSUKI islands. Tour time will be flexible from 6 to 9 hours depends on the numbers of highlight spots which you visit. Customer can choose highlight spots to visit. Some spots need admission fee.
