“Tokyo discovery with Makiko”
Makiko is a very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly guide who created two wonderful full-day tours in Tokyo for us. Her forte is adapting her itineraries to her clients’ wishes and interests. Having a competent driver with an immaculately clean van who accompanies Makiko on all her tours has proven to be a great advantage as we could decide very spontaneously how to proceed with the program - particularly during a spot of heavy rain at Meiji Shrine, when the driver picked us up right outside the sight. Thanks for two lovely days! Barbara and Werner

“Great day in Nikko with knowledgeable and charming guide!”
We had an amazing day in Nikko, with a most charming, knowledgeable and competent guide. Nikko’s UNESCO World Heritage sites in the autumn are impressive, but Makiko made our tour most memorable not just with her knowledge about the sites and gardens visited, but also with her background on Japanese history and culture - Ikebana, sake, wines. Having traveled widely, we could share common experiences, and on top of being a good sport, hitting it off immediately with an ‘elderly’ Swiss couple, her English is excellent!
