Namba Yasaka Shrine

Namba Yasaka Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the Namba district of Osaka. It is especially famous for its unique lion-shaped stage, known as the Ema-den, which resembles a giant lion’s head. The open mouth of the lion is believed to swallow evil spirits and bring good luck, success, and protection to worshippers.

The shrine has a long history and serves as a guardian deity of the local community. Every January, the shrine hosts the Tōka Ebisu festival, attracting many visitors who come to pray for prosperity in business and good fortune in the new year. Today, Namba Yasaka Shrine is not only a spiritual site but also a popular tourist spot in Osaka due to its striking architecture and cultural significance.

The Umeda Sky Building is one of Osaka’s most iconic landmarks, located in the Umeda district. Completed in 1993, this 173-meter-tall skyscraper consists of two towers connected at the top by the “Floating Garden Observatory.” The observatory offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Osaka, making it a popular destination for both tourists and locals.

The building is also known for its unique architecture, designed by Hiroshi Hara, which resembles a futuristic “Arc de Triomphe.” Inside, visitors can find restaurants, offices, and an underground market styled after the early Showa era. “Nara tour with the deer”

Booked this tour for my parents. They had a wonder time with Akira who explained how special Nara was. Akira was able to show all the sights away from the crowds. They had a very special time and really enjoyed their tour. Was a trip highlight for them. Would definitely recommend Akira to anyone.

“Akira is fantastic!”

Akira is a fantastic tour guide. We had one day to see Kyoto, and booked very last minute. He arrived to our hotel early and the van was clean and luxurious. He put everyone at ease with his good humor. Akira entertained us with wonderful history, insightful stories and memorable places. While none of us guessed the correct number of rocks at the zen garden, we understood the meaning thanks to Akira! It almost made us feel sad for the tourists who weren't lucky enough to have him as their guide. We often hire private tour guides when traveling, but Akira is in a class of his own.
