Tour Important Information

* Larger groups & custom requests: For groups of 4 or more, or for a different meeting or ending point, please send me a message first. After checking the details and vehicle availability, I can prepare a customized itinerary and price estimate, then send you a custom offer through GoWithGuide.

* This standard tour uses my compact car and can accommodate up to 3 guests. Large suitcases cannot be accommodated, so please leave them at your hotel or in a locker before the tour.

* This tour involves moderate walking on uneven roads and slopes, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

* The exact starting time can be discussed after booking. From March to November, I recommend starting between 7:00 and 8:30 AM, especially on weekends, holidays, and busy travel periods. From December to February, the starting time may be adjusted depending on snow, road conditions, and traffic.

* Please let me know in advance if you have food allergies, mobility concerns, or special requests.

“A Fabulous Tour with Fabulous Guide ”

We had a fabulous time with George over 2 days exploring Takayama, Shirakawago and Kamikochi. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and our sons looked forward to going out with him. George was great at engaging our boys and giving them quizzes about the areas we visited. George was flexible and attentive to what we were looking for in our trip. The weather was a bit unpredictable and he kept his eye on the possibility of rain and communicated clearly about expectations. We were lucky with the weather and had a little misty day in Shirakawago, but dreamy beautiful weather in Kamikochi! Having a guide was so helpful. A bonus with George is that he is from Takayama he knew the area really well. Our biggest regret was only spending three nights in Takayama. We would have loved to explore more of the area. I would highly recommend booking George for your tour! The more time we spent with him, you could hear his English skills improve the more we chatted. I have no doubt that as he continues to guide he will become even more proficient.
