Mount Omuro
Mount Omuro is located on the east side of the Izu Peninsula. It is similar to Mount Fuji in that both are cone-shaped and look like a wonderful hill that only appears in paintings. Mount Omuro, with an elevation of 580 meters, is formed by the accumulation of debris after volcanic eruption and is a representative of Japan's volcanic rubble hills. In the center of the mountain is a 30-meter-deep crater. Looking down at Mount Omuro from a high altitude, the entire mountain is close to a symmetrical, perfect cone. Because of its beautiful mountain shape, it attracts many tourists to visit.
Mount Omuro, which has been greened, has beautiful flowers blooming all year round. During the flower viewing period, a large number of tourists always flock to it. There is a mountain cable car between the top of the mountain and the bottom of the mountain. Tourists can take the cable car to the mountain. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the Izu Plateau and Sagami Bay. There is a hiking trail on the top of the mountain, and you can walk around the crater. If the weather is good, you can even see Mount Fuji, which is 3,766 meters high, in the northwest direction. From different points on the top of Mt. Omuro, you can overlook Izu Oshima, the Amagi Mountains, Mt. Fuji, the distant and near scenery of the Izu Peninsula, and the infinite scenery of the Pacific Ocean.
Shuzenji Temple
Shuzenji Temple is located on the Izu Peninsula in Japan. Surrounded by the Amagi, Sumo and Daruma mountains, it is a place famous for its hot springs. Shuzenji Temple was founded 1,200 years ago by Kobo Daishi. It is not only a famous hot spring resort, but also hidden in the mountains and forests. The environment is simple and fresh, and there are not many tourists, as if it is a paradise. The hot spring water of Shuzenji Temple stretches along the Katsura River. The atmosphere is very harmonious with the surrounding environment, and it is deeply loved by scholars, artists and writers. The history of Shuzenji Temple can be traced back to the early 9th century AD, when it was built by Kobo Daishi. There are not only famous hot springs here, but also many historical sites and cultural activities. The hot spring water of Shuzenji Temple comes from the Buddha cone hot spring, which is said to have gushed out when Kobo Daishi used the Buddha cone to hit the rock. Shuzenji Temple is not only a symbol of hot springs, but also famous for its simple environment and rich cultural background. In Shuzenji Temple, tourists can walk along the Katsura River, walk through the quiet bamboo forest trails, and enjoy the characteristic hot spring inns and Japanese-style teahouses. In autumn and winter, this is also a good place to enjoy the red leaves. Soak in the hot springs, listen to the gurgling water, and enjoy the relaxation and pleasure of body and mind.
Jogasaki Coast
Located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, the Jogasaki Coast is a spectacular coastline formed by lava flows from the eruption of Mount Omuro about 4,000 years ago. This coastline stretches for about 9 kilometers, with cliffs and strange rock formations, showing the wonders of nature.
One of the most famous attractions on the coast is the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, which is 48 meters long and about 23 meters high and spans over the cliffs. Walking on it, the waves are surging under your feet, which makes your heart beat faster. In addition, the observation deck of the Kadowaki Lighthouse provides a 360-degree panoramic view, where visitors can overlook the magnificent scenery of the Izu Seven Islands and the Amagi Mountains.
For tourists who love hiking, the Jogasaki Coast has a total length of about 9 kilometers, the "Picknik Trail" and the "Nature Research Road", along which you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the coast and feel the charm of nature. Every June, hydrangeas bloom here, and in July, there are daylilies and lilies. In autumn, you can also see flowers such as sea chrysanthemums and stone lilies, adding rich colors to the coast.
Joren Waterfall
Joren Falls is the most famous waterfall in Izu, Japan. It is famous for the legendary story of a spider spirit. It is known as the "Spider Girl" and "Waterfall Rapids". The majestic waterfall falls straight down from the basalt.
This is not only a well-known tourist attraction in Izu, but also the place where the story of "Izu Dancing Girl" by the famous Japanese writer Yasunari Kawabata, a Nobel Prize winner in Literature, took place.
Joren Falls is a waterfall that originates from the Honya River, a tributary of the Kano River. It is a columnar waterfall formed by the height difference.
