Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. After Covid-19, tourism is back! you may want to have more private experiences like no other people had before. Then, my home, Fukuoka, has a lot to show you around. So many nice places, cultures, and nice local people with delicious local foods. I like sports, climbing, running etc. I also like to visit temples and shrines. I am also an active backpacker, (have been to 50+ countries mostly in Asia and Europe over 30 years) So, I suppose I know well about where you would like to visit. :) I have never lived outside of Japan, however, you may also feel better that my speaking English is not typical Japanese "flat" intonation. Hello! My name is Tadashi. I was born and raised in Fukuoka and I've lived here all my life. I used to work for a local bank where I was mainly involved in export, import, and foreign exchange, etc. Afterwards I joined a university where I taught international economics and foreign trade for five years. I'm happy to arrange your tour plans according to your requests and help you to write your own unique story with me. If you're coming to Fukuoka for the first time, I recommend Tochoji Temple, Kushida Shrine and Fukuoka Castle Ruins where you can get feel for Japanese culture and history. Thirty minutes away from the center by train is Dazaifu. There you can enjoy a very famous shrine, Dazaifu Tenmangu, known as the home of " the god of literature or calligraphy." and Kyushu National Museum. Fukuoka is also a mecca for shopping and food. If you're coming to Fukuoka again, I recommend that you try local food, for example, Hakata Ramen-noodles in pork broth and locally caught fish. I can also take you to a traditional Japanese shopping arcade, Kawabata Shotengai. If you would like to get out of the city, we could go to Yanagawa, a town of canals, which is a one hour ride from the city center. You can try boat tours enjoying the leisurely view of the historic buildings and try Steamed Eel. Fukuoka travel tip: if you arrive in Fukuoka by JR, make sure to get off at "Hakata Station." Sorry, there's no "Fukuoka Station." on JR lines. Hakata is an old name for Fukuoka and your destination. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

But I assure you Hakata is the best place in Japan to visit and live, since you can visit Kyushu everywhere with stay in Fukuoka as hub and visit Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Oita , or Kagoshima , all of them are wonderful attractive places. Kyushu is actually the origin of Japan in Japanese mythology, which generated the Japanese Shintoism in Takachiho Gorge. There are so many attractive places to see and so many fabulous foods to eat , fresh fish, beef, Motsunabe, Udon, and so many foods were generated from this region. I can introduce and explain a lots of stuff about here to you . To talk about my career, I started to work at company Panasonic and after that , I walked on the career for Automotive component as sales working for American companies. I had education at Meiji University majoring Business Administration and was exchanged to University of Alberta in Canada. I was borne and raised in Fukuoka. I'm retired last year, and now slowly enjoying life. Before retireing, I work for IT related services for over 4 decades. My job roles were programmer, System Engineer, IT department Manager and IT project manager, additionally Internal Auditor. But, I feel it's a long time ago. I'm not a sporty person. I prefer reading books(Manga & novels) and listening music. Especially, I like Taiyou Matsumoto's commic & Tatsurou Yamashita's pop music. I also like outdoor activities like camping, jogging and chairing. Especially, enjoyning chairing. (Taking a folding chair and walk to the beach, which is 15 minutes away, and just relax.) “Outstanding Fukuoka Tour – Highly Recommended”
The Fukuoka City Tour on May 8 was truly wonderful. The guide was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the itinerary perfectly balanced culture, history, and local flavor. We especially enjoyed Yusentei Garden, the ramen experience, and the visit to Tochoji Temple and Kushida Shrine. Everything was smooth and perfectly timed, with convenient pickup and drop-off at the hotel. We are very pleased and happily give the tour 5 out of 5.

“The best Guide for a tour in Japan”
With out family of 4 we wanted to have a customized tour around Kyushu. Katsuhisa created a beautiful itinerary and perfectly on time he waited for us at our hotel in Kumamoto. What followed was two days of relaxed driving. The first day to Mount Aso, Kusasenri Grassland and the Takachiho Gorge. Also for lunch he found us a traditional Japanese restaurant we normale no western tourists come. The second day we drive to Beppu to see different Onsen. Again we had a lunch a a special place. This time we could cook our own good a natural steam source. During a quick visit at a beach one of our Sons had an accident. Katsuhisa immediatelly helped us by going to a drugstore and get us the right bandage (thanks!!) Even after this unfortunat moment we could see another Onsen. Finally after two beautiful days our driver brought us to our new hotel in Fukuoka! So, if you need a nice and skilled tour guide, you should contact Katsuhisa.
