I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese. I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan. More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide. I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year. I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year. My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards. I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car. I was borne and raised in Fukuoka. I'm retired last year, and now slowly enjoying life. Before retireing, I work for IT related services for over 4 decades. My job roles were programmer, System Engineer, IT department Manager and IT project manager, additionally Internal Auditor. But, I feel it's a long time ago. I'm not a sporty person. I prefer reading books(Manga & novels) and listening music. Especially, I like Taiyou Matsumoto's commic & Tatsurou Yamashita's pop music. I also like outdoor activities like camping, jogging and chairing. Especially, enjoyning chairing. (Taking a folding chair and walk to the beach, which is 15 minutes away, and just relax.) I want to communicate with many people through the Japan as it is.

But I assure you Hakata is the best place in Japan to visit and live, since you can visit Kyushu everywhere with stay in Fukuoka as hub and visit Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Oita , or Kagoshima , all of them are wonderful attractive places. Kyushu is actually the origin of Japan in Japanese mythology, which generated the Japanese Shintoism in Takachiho Gorge. There are so many attractive places to see and so many fabulous foods to eat , fresh fish, beef, Motsunabe, Udon, and so many foods were generated from this region. I can introduce and explain a lots of stuff about here to you . To talk about my career, I started to work at company Panasonic and after that , I walked on the career for Automotive component as sales working for American companies. I had education at Meiji University majoring Business Administration and was exchanged to University of Alberta in Canada. Though I walked in the field different from tourism, I was always aspired to talk about and promote Japan to foreign countries and people and wanted to be civil Ambassador for long time and became guide 2 years ago. Mori-san provided my friends and I with a wonderful introduction to Fukuoka yatai, history, and culture for our first night in Fukuoka! He left us with excellent recommendations for future meals, pointed out famous and historical areas, and taught us the proper way to enter a shrine, wash our hands, and how to pray. “Amazing Introduction to Yatai and Fukuoka”
We came out of the tour not only well-fed after sampling some Fukuoka specialties, but also with a better understanding of local history and Japanese culture thanks to Morry, who was a perfect guide. He picked stalls that gave us a variety of options while he kept us thoroughly entertained with his conversation and a bit of impressive magic. The 2.5 hours flew by because it felt more like having a good extended meal with a friend than being taken on a tour. Thanks to Morry, we were able to enjoy conversations with other customers and communicate with the yatai owners. Morry made sure to provide us with interesting background information about yatai, specific dishes, the area, and Japanese culture in general, but always in the course of conversation rather than as a canned lecture. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour and would welcome the chance to hang out with Morry again. Logistically, his communication was clear and consistent from the moment we booked the tour. We received messages about the proposed itinerary, meeting possibilities, directions, and even suggestions about other things we could do during our stay. The whole process was seamless and always personable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
