Hi! I'm Aya, now based in the Sapporo area! After growing up in Hokkaido, I graduated from university in New York and have lived in 7 cities across Japan, Canada, and the United States. Exploring the world allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds while sharing Japan through both a local and international perspective. I've also traveled Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Latin America, and love learning about history, different story of local people. <My Hosting Style> As a global citizen, I love sharing the side of Japan that many visitors never get to see, from local culture and everyday life to hidden food spots and the stories behind them. Whether you are interested in food, nature, culture, art, music, or simply experiencing Japan from a local perspective, I tailor each experience to your interests, mood, personality, and travel style. <My Experience> Over the years, I have guided amazing guests from east to west, in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and now Hokkaido. I enjoy hosting culturally curious travelers who seek meaningful experiences, authentic local connections, and a deeper understanding of Japan beyond the typical tourist route. My guests often tell me that spending time with me feels more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend, and many ask me to guide them again on their next journey through Japan. I look forward to hearing from you and helping create a memorable experience in Japan :) P.S. I've lived in Vancouver Canada, Upstate New York, New York City, Tokyo, Osaka, and now the Sapporo area in Hokkaido!

I am an American male bi-lingual (English & Japanese)tour guide based/living in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. I have lived here several decades and I very familiar with the best places to see in Sapporo and outside of Sapporo/ other areas of Hokkaido. I can take you to the standard/well known sightseeing spots as well as "off the beaten path spots" that many overseas guests are unaware of. My tours are fun, on schedule, informative and transportation-wise very timely and smooth. Less time commuting and more time at location enjoying each point of interest. I have many years experience guiding tours in Sapporo and out to other areas of Hokkaido as well. Most of my tours are 1 day tours usually starting at 8 or 9a.m. and concluding at 6p.m. I basically use public transportation(buses, JR trains, and subways). Meet up location is usually at Sapporo Station in the morning but I can arrrange to meet you in the lobby of your hotel if requested. I look forward to guiding you here in Sapporo and throughout Hokkaido. Tour guide Scott. Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.

“Fabulous time in Hokkaido ”

Asad was a tremendous guide. We could not have done and seen the things in Noboribetsu and Otaru without him. He went out of his way to rent a wheelchair for our mother and was very attentive to her needs. He also took us to very good restaurants for our lunches. He scheduled an itinerary based on our requests, the weather and our limitations. We will highly recommend him to our friends visiting Hokkaido in the future. We hope to see him again.
