“Haru is exceptional!”

Haru has deep roots in Kanazawa. One of the beautiful gardens we toured with her - the best we saw in all Japan in the 8 cities we visited on our trip - was owned by Haru's ancestors back in the 1600s. As a result, her pride, knowledge, and insights in the city are exemplary. Yet since she spent several years in America, her English communications skills are exceptional - she speaks clearly, interacts intentionally, and clearly enjoys being able to showcase her hometown, which we enjoyed even more than Kyoto (though that was fantastic as well). She's also prompt, flexible, and cheerful. I can't recommend her highly enough. Great tour!

Just to clarify one small thing—my ancestors weren’t actually the Maeda clan! I think my pronunciation of "Maeda's ancestors" might have sounded like "My ancestors." :-) While I’m not royalty, I do love sharing the rich history of my hometown with amazing guests like you. “Great tour”

“Very knowledgeable, flexible and easy going ”
