“Great tour with Toshiyo! ”
We had a wonderful tour with Toshiyo during our visit to Kyoto! She tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to see and was very knowledgeable when we asked many questions. Would recommend booking a tour with Toshiyo when visiting!

Hi Casey, Thank you very much for having me as your guide and writing me the kind review. Although it was a very hot day we could walk around Kyoto core town. I hope you can come back again to see more beautiful scenes here. Thank you. Toshiyo

“A lovely day in Kyoto with Michiko”
We made the booking very last minute, and yet, Michiko was a star in preparing a programme. She was extremely attentive to our requests and she arranged a very nice tour for us. She knows well the art scene, theatre and can arrange very interesting visits. Michiko is very open to discussion, she likes her city and is genuinely happy to show it to tourists like us. She explained many things to us about the places we visited and about the daily life in Japan. She even helped us in visiting a supermarket and bring back some actual food souvenirs … She drove us through the city and is a very prudent driver. We recommand visiting Kyoto with her

Thank you so much for choosing me this time. Kyoto’s summer is very hard,,, I really appreciate that you tried to discover Kyoto even in this heat. As someone who lives here, it makes me very happy. I hope I was able to meet your wishes. More than anything, I am grateful for all the stories you and your family shared with me. You even kindly supported me when I was not perfect. It was truly an honor to spend this time together with you. Thank you very much, and I really hope we can meet again someday!

Absolutely! Kyoto has achieved the perfect balance of remaining close to its historical roots as Japan's original capital, rich in culture and customs, while including modern conveniences and tourist-friendly services. It's one of Japan's most tour-conscious cities, next to Tokyo.
That's a tough one! Kyoto has history, slow living, and breathtaking landscapes. Osaka has fantastic food and modern conveniences and is slightly more affordable.
Osaka is great for;
Kyoto is ideal for;
The greatest thing about these two cities is that they're just a train ride away from one another. So whichever you decide, the other option is only 15 minutes away.
Kyoto is often considered more beautiful than Tokyo because of the visually stunning architecture and Edo period buildings, especially those that highlight the nagare-zukuri style. It’s almost like a time machine. City lovers will consider Tokyo more beautiful thanks to its glowing billboards, high-end hotels, buzzing restaurants, and nightlife. Our recommendation? See both and decide for yourself. Tokyo and Kyoto are only 2 hours apart.
