About Tour Guide Kazue I.
Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city.
I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career.
This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide.
Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan.
For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience.
We all love traveling after all.
I am looking forward to showing you around our hometown soon!

Kazue led our guided tour through old Hakata in a very engaging and informative way. She is a lovely person, communication with her was excellent, and she has extensive knowledge of everything Fukuoka has to offer. Her insights made the experience both enjoyable and memorable. It was a wonderfull half day tour!

“Wonderful Yatay stalls tour with Kazue”
Kazue is a lovely and very communicative guide, and her knowledge of Fukuoka’s famous yatai stalls was outstanding. She introduced us to different types of stalls with great confidence and took us to the local food stalls where residents actually go, rather than the usual tourist spots that visitors like us often end up at, which made the experience feel much more authentic. Having her with us made communication with the stall owners much easier, and the whole experience was wonderful. Without her, we would never have found these places on our own.

“Nice Overview Tour of Fukuoka!”
Kasue drove us up to the reclining Buddha and we did a walking tour, which was very impressive. There are a number of pilgrimage stops and scenic overlooks in the area. We also took a driving tour of major sights in Fukuoka, then she gave us a very nice list of places to visit, shopping, restaurants etc for the rest of our stay. Kasue is very friendly, and is also a former Cathay Pacific flight attendant, so she speaks very good English. Most appreciated!

Fukuoka Yatai stall hopping tour
Are you keen to experience something very unique and traditional in Fukuoka? If yes, try delicious local food in Yatai stalls! Yatai, open air food stands are probably the city’s best known symbol and a “must try” during your stay! Traditionally sitting shoulder to shoulder at the counter, these mobile Yatai kitchens have usually 8 to 10 seats and provide you with a cozy unique atmosphere. An experience you will never find anywhere else!
