Explore Hiroshima’s daily life and history. Stroll through Hondori Shopping Street to visit long-established shops—such as tea ceremony tool and traditional stamp shops. We’ll also visit a local shrine, Okonomimura, and the World Peace Memorial Cathedral.
After a short break, take a local streetcar to Peace Memorial Park to explore its key landmarks and Ground Zero. The tour ends in front of the Peace Memorial Museum so you can view the exhibits at your own pace (inside guide not included).

Meeting Point
Hiroshima Station
- Primary Location: Hiroshima Station (Shinkansen Exit Gate) I will be waiting right outside the Shinkansen ticket gate. Hotel Pickup: If you prefer to meet at your hotel lobby, please inform me when booking or in advance.
World Peace Memorial Cathedral
Built after WWII as a symbol of global peace and recovery, this beautiful cathedral uniquely blends Western architecture with subtle Japanese craftsmanship. It stands as a quiet, powerful testament to Hiroshima's resilience.
Hondori Shopping Street
This street has flourished as a bustling highway for around 400 years. Let’s explore quiet local shrines and long-established shops that you won't find in any guidebook!
Okonomimura
Known as the food haven of Hiroshima, this famous multi-story building houses over 20 unique Okonomiyaki stalls. Depending on our start time, we can also stop here to enjoy a delicious Okonomiyaki meal!
Short Break at a Cozy Space
We’ll pick up fresh treats from a guide-recommended fruit cafe and relax in a cozy rented space next door before heading to Peace Memorial Park!
(This break will be skipped if we have lunch at Okonomimura.)
Ride a Local Streetcar to Peace Memorial Park
Experience riding Hiroshima's iconic local streetcar (Hiroden) as we head toward Peace Memorial Park, enjoying the view of the city’s lively streets along the way.
Peace Park & A-bomb dome, Ground zero and other related sites
Explore key peace landmarks around Peace Memorial Park, including iconic sites such as the Atomic Bomb Dome, Ground Zero, the Cenotaph, and the Children’s Peace Monument. Along the way, we will take a relaxing break to recharge before concluding the tour in front of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.

Peace Memorial Museum: Guided tour inside the museum is not included so that you can explore at your own unhurried pace. (Please note that museum admission tickets are not included.)
Footwear: Please wear comfortable walking shoes, as we will be walking about 1.5–2 km.

Miyajima, sacred island walking tour
Miyajima Island, one of the most scenic spots in Japan, has long been regarded as an Island of Gods on the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. It is a romantic and historical island where Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site, is located, along with the Virgin Forest of Mt.
