“Excellent guide”

Our tour in Hiroshima with Kate was excellent. She is professional, knowledgeable, and she has a great personality. Kate provided great insight on the history of Hiroshima, the memorial park, and its monuments. The took us to the Orizuru Tower adjacent the atomic dome and taught us to make paper cranes which are especially meaningful in Hiroshima. The overview from the tower really provides a sense of the city before, after and at the time of the blast. Kate left us to tour the inside of the peace memorial museum on our own, as there is no speaking permitted around the exhibits. She then took us for lunch to sample a classic Hiroshima Okonomiyaki - a griddle cooked pancake/omelette with noodles, cabbage, and other optional ingredients. She then showed us around the central shopping area before we parted ways. Thank you Kate for making the tour a memorable and meaningful experience!!

“Hiroshima Peace Park”

Kate was an excellent guide. Her planned 4 hour itinerary was just right. She had volumes of knowledge and was open to any suggestions. She even took the time to teach us oldsters how to fold an Origami paper crane. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

“Exceptional guide for Hiroshima & Miyajima”

Kate was an exceptional guide and made our day in Hiroshima and Miyajima incredibly special. She had extensive knowledge of the history, culture and significance of the places we visited, and was always generous with her time and happy to answer all of our questions. She was warm, kind and welcoming from the moment we met her, and made the whole day feel very personal rather than like a standard tour. Our daughters especially loved that she showed them how to pray at the shrine and helped them have their fortunes read. Visiting the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Museum was deeply moving, and Kate helped us understand the history with sensitivity and respect. What stayed with me most was not only the devastation, but the hope, resilience and commitment to peace that came through so strongly. We had an excellent day and would absolutely recommend Kate to anyone visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima. If we return to Hiroshima, we would love to see her again.
