Hiro-san was an amazing guide for our 2 day Kyoto trip! He was very knowledgeable of all the sites we visited, and thanks to his smart planning, we were able to see quite a lot in our short stay. Unfortunately during our trip we encountered a few setbacks due to weather (trains were stalled, taxis were full, etc) but Hiro-san rolled with the punches, and always found a different route to get us back on track. He kept the guide very exciting, offering pop quizzes at many of our stops with a prize of candies for the winner at the end of the day. Our time with Hiro-san was very fast-paced, but if we needed to stop to buy something or grab a snack, etc Hiro-san always happily obliged and adjusted our schedule as needed. Overall, we had an excellent time with Hiro-san, and if you ever find yourself looking for a guide in Kyoto, I highly recommend his services.
Packed as much sightseeing as possible on foot in Kyoto! Climbed a small mountain trail that wound through an ever-expanding shrine dating back to the 8th century. Saw Nin-Jo samurai palace and walked through the old town in the evening; caught a glimpse of geisha/maiko walking to their clients. Saw ancient pagodas and ate Udon and soba noodles that tasted fantastic on a chilly day. We walked over 10 miles that day and our guide seemed to never tire! Got lots of pictures of iconic sites!
Thanks Hiro for taking us around for 2 days. You made the tour very special and we were able to see all the highlights in Kyoto and Nara. His english is very good and my familty was entertained! Thank you
