Had a long layover - and Hideaki was there early to meet me, took me on the train to Narita where we went or the museum, a tea ceremony, the temple and gardens. Lots of information about the local history, friendly interaction and a delicious lunch
Helen-san, Thank you very much for your review. Fortunately, we could experience a tea ceremony. Personally, I think Naritasan Shinshoji temple is the best temple in Tokyo area, and we can easily enjoy it during a layover. Best Regards, Hideaki Murayama
Mr. Hideaki was our guide in Tokyo for two days. It was a wonderful and knowledgeable experience. He went above and beyond to make sure that we saw all the highlights of Tokyo and gave us the historical background. He helped us navigate the subway system, and with buying our tickets to Nikko, Fuji and Hakone. Traveling with 3 young kids is not always easy, and he was very helpful and patient with our kids, very willing to detour or take a break as needed. If you want a guide for Tokyo I would highly recommend Mr. Hideaki.
Martin-san Thank you very much for your review. Your family is super good!! As I said during the tour, your family reminded me of my young days. When my daughter was a kid like your daughter, my family was like yours. I often carried my daughter on my shoulders. So, I enjoyed the time with your family so much. Have a nice trip in Japan!! Best Regards, Hideaki Murayama
Murayama-san was very responsive to help us edit a few itineraries based on our interests, then on the day of our tour, meet our family at our airbnb promptly, and was pleasant, professional, and easy to understand during our day together. As background, our family was in town a few days early to ’de-jetlag’ before starting a more formal group tour, and so our day with Murayama-san included visiting things our kids wanted to see that weren’t party of typical formal tours, and included a visit to a local grocery store to learn about foods commonly eaten, learning morning viaa video with English subtitles about the tsunami north of Tokyo followed by an 7.9 magnitude earthquake simulation in Ikebukuro, lunch at a food court in a nearby mall followed by the Pokemon mega center store there, then a visit to Akihabara Manadrake to buy Pokémon cards on the 7th floor. Thank you Murayama-san for a wonderful day!
Jeni-san, Thank you very much for your review. That was quite a unique Tokyo tour. No temples, no shrines. I also enjoyed it so much, especially, the earthquake simulation. It was a good experience. Have a good trip in Japan!! Best Regards, Hideaki Murayama
Hideaki was amazing! Very cordial and respectful of our time and interests. He navigated the city with absolute ease and was flexible to the point where we called an audible to try and make Tokyo Disney (We did not make it, boo to the rain!) The great part was his affiliation with Louisiana and our love for LSU and NO Saints! Our trip to Tokyo was no stress and very educational/enjoyable, thanks to Hideaki's experience and love for his city! Please make your choice simple; hire Hideaki, jump on the subway, and let him handle the rest!
Brett-san, Thank you very much for your review. I'm very glad to know that you enjoyed the tour even though we walked a lot and it was very hot. I also enjoyed chatting with you and your family. Best Regards, Hideaki Murayama
