Thank you for the wonderful tour review, Peter-san. You are really friendly gentleman. I think I was really lucky as I could guide you. You made a relaxed and cozy atmosphere during the tour. The next day, you departed from Tokyo on a cruise. I guess that you currently enjoy travelling in various parts of Japan. Bon voyage!

“Toshi is an excellent guide and made our visit wonderful ”
My husband and I, along with two of our young adult sons, pent two very wet days touring Tokyo with Toshi, who skillfully guided us from place to place, despite the soaking spring rain. Toshi was unfailingly kind, helpful, and informative. I am a curious person and Toshi was a wealth of insight into all things Japanese. His English is excellent, and he also brought us to wonderful restaurants, such as a fantastic sushi restaurant in the seafood market area. We did not request a specific itinerary but left it to our trusty guide; we spent one day touring the east side of the city and the second day going around the west side. We spent eight hours each day with Toshi, who met us outside of our rented flat each morning near Ueno Station. Obviously you can't pack it in and get a big heaping of true Tokyo flavor trying to sort out logistics on your own as a newbie. Toshi took all the stress out of that. We like using public transportation when it's safe and clean, and we enjoyed learning from Toshi so that we could manage a third day on our own without getting confused. Some of my personal favorite places that we visited include the Shinjuku Imperial Gardens - the Sakura were in bloom and the rain kept the crowds in check -- the Meiji Shrine (the most magnificent Shinto shrine that I have seen in a month here in Japan) along with its forest, the amazing view of Tokyo from the top of the Metropolitan building, the Asakusa old town area with the five-story pagoda and the Senso-ji Temple complex, the electric town and hipster/gamer shopping area of Akihabara (our young adult kids were in heaven here) and the crazy Shibuya Scramble Crossing that throws you into a moving mosh pit, along with the winding streets of themed cafes (cat, owl, hedgehog, French maid, micro pig) and tiny eateries. I also loved seeing the cherry tree festival in Ueno Park. We had a heck of a good time with Toshi and highly recommend his services.

Thank you for the outstanding tour review, Sam-san and Pringle-san. Regarding cherry blossoms, Sakura, you came to Tokyo at the best timing with the beginning of full blooms. Cherry blossoms are beautiful only one or two weeks. Every year, it is very difficult to forecast exactly the peak blooming time. In Japan, it is fair weather almost every day in January, February and early March. But after it becomes a little bit warmer in the cherry blossoms season, we have many rainy days. I needed to change the itinerary. Thank you very much for your cooperation to do the tour on a rainy day. I know that I have a strong Japanese accent in my English, but you kindly listened to my explanation on Japanese culture, history and life style. I really enjoyed conversation with you, especially about your home town Charleston. Now many tourists like eating Sushi. But on the second day of the tour in the west side of Tokyo, we were in traditional local people's restaurants area with little tourist. We took lunch at very old style Japanese restaurant. I highly appreciate your such challenging spirit to try to accept local culture. Itinerary was decided to feel various aspects of Tokyo like traditional or modern, religious or secular, natural or artificial, luxurious or plain, etc. I am relieved to hear that these spots were your favorite places. In this Japan tour, your youngest son couldn't come together. I hope that you come to Japan again in the near future with all of your family members.

Thank you for the fantastic tour review, Jeff-san. Tokyo is a relatively new city in Japan and has unique culture based on a historical background. It is very different from other cities in the world. I appreciate your great insight on our life style. I really enjoyed conversation with you. After a few days' stay in Tokyo, you will visit other cities in Japan. I am sure that you will be impressed with deep history of this country. Have a nice trip!
