Recently Japanese horses are getting strong. Some horses run in overseas prestigious races like Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Horse racing is getting popular among Japanese people and would be the most typical gamble. You will enjoy not only horse racing itself but also watching how Japanese people are distracted on weekend. In case of a tour to the horse racing course, it is possible to see inside race course as general amusement place for Japanese people. In case of visiting WINS, you can choose Off-Track Betting Facilities near your hotel.
If you are lucky, you will get money (but it is NOT guaranteed).
In spring, autumn and winter, JRA horse races are held in Tokyo area in either Tokyo Racecourse (Fuchu, west of Tokyo) or Nakayama Racecourse (Funabashi, Chiba).

Hello. Thank you for your interest in Japan. I am a tour guide living in central Tokyo area. My hobby is travel, taking photos, watching sports, etc. I have visited more than thirty countries on business or vacation. While I was in overseas countries, I encountered a lot of troubles. But many people at my travel destination kindly helped me and I could do what I wanted to do. To do something in return for their kindness, I became a tour guide.
As a guide, I have offered tours for more than hundreds of tourists all over the world. Each tourist has the different style of sightseeing. Through experience, I have got better skills to arrange the tour flexibly.
Your stay in Japan must be very important moment. I would like to show you unique aspects of Japan. It is possible to create a customized tour for you to meet your requests. Please tell me what kind of sightseeing you would like to enjoy. Feel free to contact me.

“Tokyo tour guide”
Toshihiro came to pick us up at the hotel. It was raining and very cold. Even then he did his best to show us as much as possible. It was a very nice walking tour and got us familiar with the subway station in Tokyo.

Thank you for the marvelous tour review, Charlene-san. Unfortunately it was a rainy day. Itinerary was changed and we visited more in-house spots. But you were very cooperative and patient. Now beautiful cherry blossoms are blooming out in Tokyo. Please come to Japan again in the near future.

“Toshihiro – A Fantastic Tokyo Tour Guide”
Our day exploring Tokyo with Toshihiro was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we met, he was both respectful and considerate, making us feel at ease. His deep knowledge of the city and Japanese culture, combined with his engaging storytelling, brought every location to life, making the experience truly unforgettable. The tour offered a perfect blend of Tokyo’s highlights, including Ueno, the serene Imperial Palace Gardens, beautiful Shinto shrines, and the vibrant streets of Akihabara. We were fortunate to have a private tour that day, which made the experience even more special. While it’s easy to fall into tourist traps when it comes to dining, Toshihiro took us to an incredible sushi spot near the Tsukiji Fish Market, along with several local snack stops that we wouldn’t have found on our own. With around 19,000 steps covered, this tour is best suited for those who enjoy exploring on foot—which we certainly did! A special tip: ask him for matcha ice cream. He took us to a hidden gem, away from the crowds, and it was absolutely delicious. For anyone looking to discover Tokyo with a knowledgeable and friendly guide, we highly recommend Toshihiro. Thank you, Mr. Toshi, for a truly memorable day!

Thank you for the amazing tour review with excellent photos, Sailesh-san. In the messages we exchanged before the tour, you informed me that you are fit to walk. We visited various places in Tokyo on foot. Tokyo is a relatively new city in Japan, and has both historical aspects and modern aspects. But each aspect is correlated. I tried to expound this complicated big city with holistic views. Japanese culture would be very different from western one. I am glad to hear that my explanation made the experience truly unforgettable. Fortunately you like eating Sushi, that was easy for me to choose the restaurant for lunch. Tsukiji Fish Market is a highlight of Tokyo tour if you eat Sushi. And some Japanese sweets are unique. I am relieved as you said that the Matcha ice cream was absolutely delicious. I was really happy to introduce various spots in Tokyo to you. I think that you are still in Japan. Enjoy the rest of the tour!

Thank you for the brilliant tour review, Reid-san. This full day tour was done on the next day you had arrived in Japan. You must have been very tired because of jet lag. But you walked the city for miles round. I enjoyed conversation with you. You were very friendly tourists. Thank you very much again. You will visit various cities in Japan. Have a nice trip!
