Recently Japanese horses are getting strong. Some horses run in overseas prestigious races like Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Horse racing is getting popular among Japanese people and would be the most typical gamble. You will enjoy not only horse racing itself but also watching how Japanese people are distracted on weekend. In case of a tour to the horse racing course, it is possible to see inside race course as general amusement place for Japanese people. In case of visiting WINS, you can choose Off-Track Betting Facilities near your hotel.
If you are lucky, you will get money (but it is NOT guaranteed).
In spring, autumn and winter, JRA horse races are held in Tokyo area in either Tokyo Racecourse (Fuchu, west of Tokyo) or Nakayama Racecourse (Funabashi, Chiba).
In summer, JRA horse races are held in local sites in Japan and this tour is done by visiting one of the Off-Track Betting Facilities (WINS) in Tokyo (or Yokohama) near your hotel.
Detailed information on schedule of JRA races can be obtained from JRA English web site.

“A wonderful day with a great guide ”
We spent a day with Toshihiro. It was great. Toshi adapted the tour completely to our wishes and always found the ideal route, even given the warm weather. He also took us to a restaurant for lunch that we would never have found, but which was good. An eventful, wonderful day! During which he even explained to us exactly how to get back to the hotel. Thanks to Toshi.

(298 reviews)Thank you for the fantastic tour review, Sabine-san. You had already visited several spots in Tokyo by yourself. You clearly informed me where you had visited. It was helpful for me to change the itinerary in our tour. I also enjoyed eating lunch with you at the typical Japanese style restaurant. I am relieved to hear your comment that the restaurant was good. Thank you again Sabine-san.

(298 reviews)Thank you for the wonderful tour review, Charles-andré san. I am really glad to hear that the trip was truly memorable for you and your family. You had already visited some touristic spots in Tokyo. Itinerary was slightly modified by your requests. I tried to explain unique features of this city clearly and simply. I know that I must appreciate you as you listened to my explanation with great interest. I could make fruitful conversation with your family. Thank you again. I know you are still in Tokyo. Enjoy the rest of days!
“Knowledgeable and flexible ”
Yoshihiro took into account that we had booked other events and had already been to some places and was able to amend the itinerary on the fly to take this into account. We are going to Kyoto in a few days time and had intended to buy our shinkasen tickets on the day. He thought we should booked them today, as the "good seats" might not be available, and showed us how the ticket machine worked. This proved to be an excellent tip. We felt he looked after us very well and made sure we were comfortable whilst explaining the history and culture. Thanks!

(298 reviews)Thank you for the excellent tour review, Gan-san. You showed me the detailed your tour plan on the other days in Tokyo. It was easy to amend the itinerary of our tour based on your interests. You have a lot of knowledge about Japanese garden. It was fun for me to walk with you. You were very lucky as you could get the almost last "good seats" on Shinkansen to go to Kyoto. I think that you will be able to see a nice view of Mt. Fuji. Kyoto has the different culture and the longer history than Tokyo. Please enjoy the rest of days in Japan!
