Nikko is a sacred place that has combined Buddhism and Shinto since the 8th century. There are three UNESCO sightseeing spots. Rinno-ji temple (3 huge statues of Buddha), Futarasan temple (Mountain worship) and Toshogu Shrine (magnificent mausoleum of Shogun.）

Take a express train to to Nikko from Asakusa

Take the limited express "Liberty" or gorgeous "Spacia X" from Asakusa to Nikko. It's a fun, luxurious and super comfortable experience.

Normally the train runs every 1 hour and it takes ２hour 50mins and per person costs 2800yen for round trip.

If you want a luxury sheet called "Spacia X", it takes 1h 50mins and the price will be 6600 yen.

Since Nikko is mountainous city, the level of physical activity is similar to a light hike. Please make sure to wear comfortable and suitable shoes.
