The Imperial Palace used to be the Edo Castle where "Shogun" lived and the center of the govenment during the Edo Period.
The Castle has been destroyed several times by big fires, big earthquakes and the WWⅡ. But still you can see some buildings, bridges and stone walls.
Visiting these remains, let's get to know about "samurai world".

Dear Travelers ! I'm KAORU. (English name : Katie)
I love mountain climbing as you see in my photo and also traveling.
Now I'm teaching English at vocational school as a part-time teacher, but used to be a tour guide to take Japanese tourists abroad.
Why did I become a national certificated guide ?
I'd love to introduce real Japan to you foreign people. I think there are a wide variety of people, customs, places, foods ... in your country. Vice versa in my country !
I'd like you to meet real Japan not only Tokyo or Kyoto but also suburbs and countryside.
Please come to visit Japan and see me ! Find different sides of Japan !
