Hello! I'm Fumiko, a licensed national tourist guide. I love Japanese culture such as Japanese way of arranging flowers, calligraphy, origami or folding paper, and wearing yukata. If you would like to experience these kinds of things Japanese, I can arrange for you. I'm good on Japanese history, too. I'd like to show you around Tokyo and other places with their historical backgrouds, if you like. As I had worked for a travel agency for a long time, I can help you travel smoothly and I'd like to meet your request as much as possible.
I often guide Asakusa, Ueno, East Garden of Imperial Palace, Tsukiji, Ryogoku, Yanesen, Meiji Jingu , Harajuku and so on.

“Pleasure to see Tokyo with her as a guide”
Fumiko is a great guide. She was well-prepared with background information on the places we visited, she had a whole folder with visuals and timelines to provide a context fot the shrines and temples. She was kind enough to change my return location ( from my hotel to a tea ceremony in Asakusa) and accompany me all the way to ensure that I find the location for the tea ceremony. She patiently explained the subway system so that I won't feel anxious about finding my way back to the hotel by myself. Overall a, knowleageable and very pleasant person. She was very patient despite guiding on an incredibly hot and humid day. She even even thought of bringing an extra fan for me to use.

“It was like having a best friend show us around ”
Fumiko was very well prepared, very kind and patient, and after two days with her as our guide it was very sad for my wife and I to say goodbye. Not having to work out how to navigate the various train station labyrinths allowed us to get around quickly and see so much more of Tokyo than if we tried to do this by ourselves. Fumiko also took us down tiny side streets which were easily overlooked but rich in history and interest. Going in to small eating establishments and not having to worry about trying to order etc was just part of the benefits of having a local guide. Having Fumiko as our guide was a wonderful investment, and experience. We are genuinely sad that we won't be sharing more adventures with her, Fumiko really became like a friend who enjoyed showing us her wonderful city. At least we will always have the memory of catching fish together in one of Tokyo's canals! Thank you.
