09:00 AM

Meeting Point

Tokyo Station, Marunouchi Central Exit on the west side.

- I will wait for you at the Marunouchi Central Exit on the west side just outside of the Tokyo station building. I can also pick you up from your hotel.

Tokyo station

When we step into this area, we’re not just in a train hub - we’re standing in front of one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks. Tokyo Station first opened in 1914, designed by Japanese architect Tatsuno Kingo. The red-brick façade you see here was inspired by European architecture, particularly Amsterdam’s Central Station, yet it carries a very Japanese sense of elegance.

Tokyo Palace Park

Right in the center of this modern metropolis lies a vast green space, home to the Imperial Palace, the residence of Japan’s Emperor and his family. The palace stands on the grounds of the old Edo Castle, the seat of the Tokugawa shoguns who ruled Japan from 1603 to 1868. Imagine this area 400 years ago: massive wooden gates, deep moats filled with water, stone walls, and hundreds of samurai guarding the shogun’s stronghold.

Hamarikyu Gardens

Hamarikyu Gardens is a traditional Japanese garden located in the Chūō district, near Tokyo Bay.

It is a beautiful urban oasis, offering a peaceful retreat from the busy city.

The garden is famous for its ponds, seasonal flowers, and historic teahouses. Originally constructed in the Edo period (1603–1868) as a villa and duck hunting ground for the Tokugawa shogunate. After the Meiji Restoration, it became an imperial garden and later opened to the public.

Hamarikyu preserves the Edo-era landscape design, including tidal ponds and carefully arranged greenery.

Green tea degustation is available here.

Monorail ride to Odaiba Seaside Park

Odaiba Seaside Park is a scenic waterfront area offering open views of Tokyo Bay and the city skyline. From its sandy beach and promenade, you can enjoy one of the best views of the iconic Rainbow Bridge.

Asakusa area

Asakusa is one of Tokyo’s most famous historic districts, known for preserving the atmosphere of Edo, the old city. Its centerpiece is Sensō-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest temple, founded in 628. According to legend, two fishermen discovered a golden statue of Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy, in the nearby Sumida River, and the temple was built to honor her.

Sensō-ji is a major cultural and spiritual site, attracting millions of visitors annually. According to legend, the statue of Kannon was found in the Sumida River by two fishermen. The temple grew into a center of worship and community, surviving fires, earthquakes, and World War II bombings. It symbolizes resilience, faith, and Tokyo’s historical continuity.

The approach to the temple, Nakamise Street, has been a bustling shopping street for centuries, selling souvenirs, traditional snacks, and crafts. Walking here, you can feel the same energy that visitors and pilgrims experienced hundreds of years ago.

Tokyo Skytree

Tokyo Skytree is Japan’s tallest structure and one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks. Standing at 634 meters, it offers spectacular panoramic views of the entire city from its observation decks. The tower also features shops, restaurants, and an aquarium at its base, making it a great spot to enjoy both modern Tokyo and breathtaking scenery.

Designed with a neo-futuristic style, inspired by traditional Japanese architecture and the pagoda structure for earthquake resistance.

The tower has two observation decks: Tembo Deck (350 m) – panoramic city views and Tembo Galleria (450 m) – glass-floored skywalk experience.

The tower offers 360-degree views of Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Tokyo Bay, and surrounding areas on clear days.

Shibuya station area

Shibuya station area

Shibuya, today famous as one of Tokyo’s busiest and trendiest districts, has a fascinating history. In the Edo period, it was a small rural village located just outside the main city. Its name, written as 渋谷, literally means “bitter valley,” reflecting the area’s agricultural roots along the Shibuya River.

By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Shibuya began to transform with the arrival of the railway. The opening of Shibuya Station in 1885 made the area a convenient gateway to Tokyo, and soon small shops, schools, and entertainment venues started to appear.

We'll see famous Shibuya crossing from above and, sure, will cross it ourselves. We will learn touching Akita dog Hachiko story and see it iconic statue.

Although it is located in the western part of Tokyo, it is probably the most remarkable place to finish our tour in the evening.

Amazing experience

It was best decision to took tour with Dmitrijs. We not only saw the famous sights like Shibuya Crossing, Ginza or Meiji Jingu, but he also took us to quiet backstreets we never would have found ourselves. HE also helped us a lot with transportation questions and was extremely flexible. Next time we will ask him again - because it was the awesome investment in our short trip. Thank you very much for amazon day!

Excellent tour! carring, knolagable and attentive guide

We are very pleased with our tour of Tokyo by Dmitrijs. It was our very first time in Japan, and we had lots of worries about visiting Tokyo without any ability to understand Japanese, especially written Japanese. Dmitrijs connected with us ahead of time, built the itinerary especially for us and gave us his tour beyond any expectation. He not only gave us an excellent informative tour, but also helped us to get oriented, the transportation options, the restaurant's recommendations and much more! Thank you Dmitrijs!
