I spent a wonderful day with Junko. What a lovely lady and such great company. The correspondence beforehand was great and I had wanted advice on how best to get to Narita airport (I’d arrived at Haneda) and how to catch a boat to Asakusa, as I’d planned to go the following day. I also had a couple of additions to the itinerary, which were accommodated. Junko met me in the lobby of my hotel and was there waiting for me before the allotted time, with a copy of the itinerary and a useful guide book. It was a very full day and I felt that I’d covered so much and learned such interesting things from Junko about the traditions and culture. We started our day with a tea ceremony in beautiful Hamarikyu gardens and then along to the fish market. What a fabulous place that was! Junko showed me where locals buy sushi and we ate our snack on the roof terrace in the sunshine. Then on to Asakusa and the Senso-ji temple, with lots more interesting facts from Junko. Time was then spent on helping me familiarise myself with places I wanted to visit the following day. Off to Shibuya crossing next and finally the peace and beauty of the Meiji Jingu Shrine. Throughout the day Junko kept me entertained with historical facts and conversation was relaxed and informal. My phone battery died before the end of the day and Junko kindly took photos on my behalf and sent them on to me. She also accompanied me back to my hotel at the end of the tour, which was very thoughtful. I cannot recommend a tour with Junko enough. She made my visit to Tokyo! Thank you!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review, Amanda! I am very glad I could help you create good memories in Tokyo. Hope to see you again. Take care and have a good day. Junko
Junko was great leading our family (2 adults and 2 kids) on a half-day Tokyo tour. She was attentive to our needs and understood that having kids meant being flexible and responsive.
Thank you so much for such a nice review, Sanjay!. I am very glad to have helped you know Tokyo. I hope you and your family will make great memories in Japan. Thank you again and take care. Junko
Junko was an excellent guide. She provided a lot of backup historical information, which was very helpful. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Thank you so much for such a great review, Eva. I am very glad to have helped you know Nezu and Yanaka and the history. There still remain beautiful traditional gardens and quiet places even in Tokyo. I hope you would come to Japan again in the cherry blossom season. Thank you again and take care! Junko
From initial emails to hugs goodbye, we enjoyed our time with Junko. She was accommodating in our itinerary choices and flexible through tour time. My wife is diabetic and Junko was understanding of her need for breaks and meals. We wished to experience the off the beaten path food places and our first night we enjoyed two for beer, sake and food. She’s very passionate about her city and it showed. You will be educated, enlightened and inspired by her.....thank you Junko! Rory and Sandra
Thank you for such a wonderful review, Rory and Sandra! I am very happy to have helped you have a good time in Tokyo. It was nice to have exchanged information about our families including our dogs Diego and Coco. They are rescued dogs. What a coincidence.!! I hope you will make great memories in Japan. Thank you again and take care. Junko
