Meeting Point
Your Hotel (in Yokohama or Tokyo)
- I want your experience to be as stress-free as possible. Typically, we will meet at your hotel lobby in Yokohama or Tokyo. I am very flexible with meeting points and the tour route. If you prefer to start from your hotel in Tokyo or meet at a specific landmark, please let me know. I am happy to customize the plan to fit your schedule and requests. Your comfort is my priority! We will head to the first destination using efficient public transport.
Hamarikyu Garden
Hama-rikyu is a classic Japanese "Strolling Style" garden, originally established in the 17th century for the Shogun's family villas. In this style of garden, the landscape is designed to offer changing views with every step you take.
The garden features four historic teahouses once used by the Shogun to entertain his guests. Today, we will visit one of them—the Nakajima Teahouse. Located in the center of a seawater pond, it is the perfect place to relax with a bowl of Matcha and a traditional Japanese sweet.
Sumida River Cruise
Board the river cruise from Hinode Pier. Relax on a 40-minute scenic boat ride to Asakusa, seeing Tokyo’s bridges and skyline from the water.
Asakusa
Asakusa has long been a bustling temple town centered around Senso-ji, the oldest and most significant Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Established in the 7th century, Senso-ji is historically considered the guardian of the city.
In Japanese tradition, the northeast is believed to be the direction from which evil spirits enter—known as the "Demon's Gate." Because Senso-ji is located in the northeast, it was placed there to protect Tokyo from misfortune.
In this ancient temple town, you can enjoy a variety of traditional shopping and local lunch options while feeling the city's spiritual roots.
Imperial Palace
The Imperial Palace has been the home of the Emperor's family since the late 19th century. This change occurred after the Meiji Restoration, which was a major political and social reform that ended 700 years of samurai rule. The current Emperor succeeded to the throne about seven years ago, and he and his family live here today.
Before the Restoration, this site was known as Edo Castle for about 260 years. Edo is the old name for Tokyo. At that time, it was the home of the Shogun and the center of the samurai government.
Tokyo Tower
Located in the heart of the city, Tokyo Tower stands 333 meters (1,090 feet) high. Completed in 1958, it has long served as a powerful symbol of Japan’s remarkable recovery and rebuilding after World War II.
We will visit the 150-meter observation deck to look back at the city we have explored today. It is the perfect spot to wrap up our journey and see the harmony of tradition and modernity from above.
