Toshogu Shrine and other religious spots
Nikko used to be originally a sacred place for mountain worship and flourished as a symbol of the syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism.There are two Shinto shrines, Toshogu Shrine, Futarasan Shrine and one Buddhist temple, Rinnoji Temple.
You can enjoy visiting those facilities on foot for two hours.

Hello, I'm Yoshi!! I started my second career as a tour guide after retiring from the Japanese computer company I had worked for about 40 years. I was born in Asakusa and grew up in down town in Tokyo. I’m married with two daughters and three grandchildren, two girls and a boy.

“Interesting temple visit! ”
Yoshi is a very kind and knowledgeable guide. I got to see a fire ceremony at a temple in Fukagawa. My guide picked a very delicious restaurant that had traditional food. I also had a very interesting visit to a garden and learned how the shoguns spent their time there. I would definitely recommend Yoshi as a guide! Thanks so much!

“Full day Tokyo Tour”
