Being a former student and staff member of the University of Tokyo, I have a natural ability to communicate with people from all corners of the world. Regardless of whether you prefer to speak English, French, or Globish with me ! I have practiced Aikido, Iaido (Katana), and Kyudo (Bow) martial arts, and I have also worked on the restoration of Japanese armor. Therefore, I am well-versed in the art of war in ancient Japan. But my passion for history goes further, and during my guided tours, I will share various anecdotes that will bring ancient Japan to life for you ! I'm also a huge fan of old Japanese video games, especially RPGs, so if you want a true otaku experience, follow me to Nakano Broadway and Akihabara! If you're interested in arranging a tour that's tailored to your preferences, feel free to send me a message !

Originally from Canada, I've been living in Japan for 35 years, most of that in Miyazaki. I speak the language and I know the area better than most locals. In Miyazaki, there is a lack of public transport so I'd be happy to drive you to places like Aoshima (a beautiful beach and surfing hub), Udo Jingu (a unique seaside shrine), the samurai and merchant residences of Obi, and introduce you to the best spots for local food, shopping, or nightlife, as well as let you in on a few hidden secrets of Miyazaki if you have the time.

Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges. As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!

Thank you for considering me as your guide! I am excited to become not just your guide, but your friend as we explore Kanazawa together—a city where rich cultural traditions seamlessly blend with modern vibrancy. Being a native of Ishikawa Prefecture, with Kanazawa as its heart, I have a deep connection to this place. Though I spent several years living in New York, I’ve always carried the spirit of Japan with me. Upon returning to Japan, I immersed myself in the travel industry, gaining over a decade of experience and obtaining my guiding license in 2017 while working for successful inbound travel agencies. My time abroad has given me a profound appreciation for Japan’s uniqueness, and my passion for sharing its beauty and culture with travelers has only grown stronger. Now, I am eager to share that enthusiasm with you as we explore Japan together, uncovering hidden gems and experiencing its timeless charm.

Professional English-Speaking Guide in Kansai | Osaka, Kyoto, Wakayama & Kobe Tours "I don't just show you sights; I translate the soul of Japan." Hey! I'm Muhammad W, a history lover and a guide to travel around Osaka to explore Japan. As Japan is enriched in culture so let's turn every single stone and reading the radicals. As an English Literature and Linguistics scholar living in Osaka, Japan, I offer more than just a tour—I offer a narrative. While many see a place as a quiet neighbor to Osaka, I see it as the birthplace of the Samurai blade, the cradle of the Tea Ceremony, and home to the world’s most mysterious ancient tombs. Why explore with me? Academic Insight: With a Master’s degree in linguistics, I bridge the cultural gap, explaining the "why" behind Japanese traditions. Halal Expert: As a local Muslim resident, I take the stress out of dining. I’ll show you the best Halal Wagyu, Ramen, and hidden gems in the Kansai region. Sakai Specialist: From the 1,600-year-old Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun to master blacksmith workshops, I’ll lead you through the "Real Japan" away from the crowds. Let’s turn your visit into a story worth telling.

Masayoshi K.
Hello and welcome! I have been living in Kamakura for about seven years, just a short five-minute walk from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. I truly love this city for its unique combination of historic temples, peaceful nature, and traditional streets. One of my favorite hobbies is walking around Kamakura with my camera and capturing everyday scenes of the town. I enjoy discovering small streets, quiet temples, and scenic viewpoints. I use a Sony α7CII camera and enjoy helping visitors capture beautiful and memorable photos of their trip. I also run twice a week in the morning, often along Kamakura’s hiking trails or by Yuigahama Beach. Because of this, I am very familiar with many walking routes and hidden paths in the area. If you enjoy nature, hiking, or longer walks, I would be happy to guide you through some of Kamakura’s beautiful spots. I graduated from a university in the United States and continue to use English regularly in my work and through international exchange events. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and sharing the charm of Kamakura in English. During our tour, I hope to show you not only famous places such as the Great Buddha and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, but also the relaxing atmosphere, nature, and everyday beauty of Kamakura. I would also be happy to help you take great photos so you can bring home wonderful memories of your trip. I look forward to exploring Kamakura together with you!

Once upon a time in Asakusa: Handicraft & Samurai
The Edo period, when Tokyo became the capital, is often seen as the peak of Japanese art and culture! Temple architecture, woodworking, woodblock prints, porcelain... I will use traditional handicrafts to illustrate the history and lifestyle of the people of Tokyo. Who were the samurai? What difference with a Ninja? How were armors crafted? I am also going to teach you all you need to know about those fierce warriors in front of a large collection of authentic weapons & armors.

I will take guests to Takaoka's attractions. The real Japanese life spreads out in the town. We not only see around Takaoka's landmarks basically, but also talk with locals at some places. The tour starts from where you like and ends where you like. It is possible to do this because the tour is done by car. There are attractive sites, but they are dispersed in the area. So I have planned this tour for tourists using a car. Let's go to area's many attractions.

Japan Tour Reviews
Vera S.
“ A great day with Keiichiro!”
My husband and I spent a day with Keiichiro and explored the Nikko's local area. We wanted to see the Nikko's nature and it would not be posible to do it by a bus. Keiichiro customized our itinerary and took us to see the places we wanted to see. We had interesting conversations about Japan's history and nature. He is very open and easy going. He is an excellent driver and can bring you to places you would not be able to see by youself. Exploring Nikko by car made everything very easy and you get to see more than by a bus. He picked us up from our hotel and bring us back to it. I highly recommend Keiichiro to be your guide. You would never forget your time with Keiichiro.

“A great day in Tokyo”
Yumi is a wonderful guide and made it personal for us. A great day at a steady pace and took into account our sore knees when navigating exits with lifts and escalators. Yumi is fluent in English and we had great conversations. So fortunate have Yumi as our guide.- thank you Yumi.

“Great over view of the Noto peninsula with a focus on the Senmaida rice terraces. ”
Richard was a terrific guide. Knowledgeable about the region and its attractions and super accommodating for the interests of our (fairly eclectic) group. Covering the natural beauty of the coast, the history, and the religious sights he brought it all together. That he recommended an amazing sushi place for lunch did not hurt either. I’d recommend Richard highly and will certainly call on his services again if I’m back in the area.
