Yumiko O.
Hello, my name is Yumiko, and I am a licensed tour guide based in Japan. It is my pleasure to share the beauty of Japan with travelers from all over the world. I have guided many visitors through Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, and other famous destinations, as well as hidden gems that only locals know. My goal is always to create a tour that is not only informative but also enjoyable and personalized to your interests. With a warm and flexible guiding style, I love helping guests discover Japan’s traditions, history, and everyday life. Whether you are interested in temples and shrines, delicious local food, or simply strolling through charming streets, I will do my best to make your time in Japan unforgettable. I am excited to announce that I have started offering tours in Odawara! Odawara is a historic castle town located just an hour from Tokyo, famous for its impressive Odawara Castle, beautiful views of both the sea and mountains, and its role as the gateway to Hakone. In addition to exploring the castle and tasting local specialties such as fresh seafood and kamaboko (fish cakes), you can also enjoy many Instagram-worthy spots, from the scenic coastline to charming traditional houses that give a glimpse of Japan’s past. Odawara is still less crowded compared to other popular destinations, so it’s a great time to visit. I look forward to welcoming you and creating wonderful memories together!

Hello! My name is Yoshiko. I am a national licensed guide‑interpreter in English and Chinese, and I also speak a little French. I live in Azumino City in Nagano Prefecture, a place known for its stunning views of the Northern Japan Alps, peaceful rural scenery, and crystal‑clear spring water. Yacco M.
Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. This is mainly a walking tour, with some public transport. The meeting point is Odawara Station, with optional Hakone-Yumoto pickup. Custom itineraries are available.

Japan Tour Reviews
Peter G.
“An Unforgettable Father and Son Anime Adventure”
My son and I booked Grant’s Tokyo Anime Full-day Tour as part of a special father and son trip before he starts university, and it exceeded every expectation. Before the tour, Grant took the time to understand my son’s interests, particularly JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Berserk, and rare collectibles. Rather than following a generic itinerary, he tailored the entire day around what mattered to us. His knowledge of Tokyo’s anime scene was exceptional, from hidden Mandarake locations to specialist stores that we never would have found on our own. The highlight was watching my son discover rare figures and merchandise that he had been searching for. Grant was incredibly patient, helping us navigate stores, speaking with staff, and making sure we did not miss anything. Those moments alone made the trip worthwhile. Beyond anime, Grant shared fascinating insights into Japanese pop culture, Akihabara, and the collector community, giving us a much deeper appreciation of the culture behind the hobbies. He paced the day perfectly, balancing shopping, sightseeing, and breaks, and his English was excellent throughout. This was far more than a shopping tour. It became one of the defining memories of our trip to Japan. If you have children or teenagers who love anime or manga, I cannot recommend Grant highly enough. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, flexible, and genuinely invested in making the day special. Thank you, Grant, for helping create memories that my son and I will treasure for many years to come. Five stars without hesitation.

“We had an amazing day exploring Hakone with Kaneo, whose knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fun guidance made a seamless itinerary of the ropeway, black eggs, soba, Hakone Shrine, the Open-Air Museum, and stunning views even better.”
We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the Hakone area with Kaneo as our guide. From start to finish, the itinerary was packed with unforgettable experiences, and everything ran seamlessly. Some of the highlights included riding the ropeway, eating the famous black eggs at the volcanic valley, enjoying delicious soba noodles, visiting the beautiful Hakone Shrine, relaxing with coffee while taking in a fabulous view, and exploring the incredible Open-Air Museum. One of the best parts was experiencing every mode of transport Hakone has to offer, which made the day even more fun and memorable. Kaneo was the perfect guide—knowledgeable, polite, funny, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the day. He shared fascinating insights about the area, answered all our questions, and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. He also turned out to be an excellent photographer, capturing so many wonderful memories for us along the way. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Kaneo to anyone visiting Hakone. Thank you for making our day such a special and unforgettable experience!

“6 hours in Kyoto”
My family and l (a group of 8 including my 90 year old Mum) booked this day trip. The amazing driver of our taxi was supposed to be just that - a driver - but he went above and beyond acting as our tour guide as well. He was very professional but also had a good sense of humour, but most importantly he was amazing with my mum and his treatment of her was nothing short of exceptional. His suggestions for our itinerary were great and we got to visit all the main sites we wanted to see. He made our day out one we will never forget. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Karen
