If you're coming to Fukuoka for the first time, I recommend Tochoji Temple, Kushida Shrine and Fukuoka Castle Ruins where you can get feel for Japanese culture and history. Thirty minutes away from the center by train is Dazaifu. There you can enjoy a very famous shrine, Dazaifu Tenmangu, known as the home of " the god of literature or calligraphy." and Kyushu National Museum. Fukuoka is also a mecca for shopping and food. If you're coming to Fukuoka again, I recommend that you try local food, for example, Hakata Ramen-noodles in pork broth and locally caught fish. I can also take you to a traditional Japanese shopping arcade, Kawabata Shotengai. If you would like to get out of the city, we could go to Yanagawa, a town of canals, which is a one hour ride from the city center. You can try boat tours enjoying the leisurely view of the historic buildings and try Steamed Eel. Fukuoka travel tip: if you arrive in Fukuoka by JR, make sure to get off at "Hakata Station." Sorry, there's no "Fukuoka Station." on JR lines. Hakata is an old name for Fukuoka and your destination. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

But I assure you Hakata is the best place in Japan to visit and live, since you can visit Kyushu everywhere with stay in Fukuoka as hub and visit Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Oita , or Kagoshima , all of them are wonderful attractive places. Kyushu is actually the origin of Japan in Japanese mythology, which generated the Japanese Shintoism in Takachiho Gorge. There are so many attractive places to see and so many fabulous foods to eat , fresh fish, beef, Motsunabe, Udon, and so many foods were generated from this region. I can introduce and explain a lots of stuff about here to you . To talk about my career, I started to work at company Panasonic and after that , I walked on the career for Automotive component as sales working for American companies. I had education at Meiji University majoring Business Administration and was exchanged to University of Alberta in Canada. Though I walked in the field different from tourism, I was always aspired to talk about and promote Japan to foreign countries and people and wanted to be civil Ambassador for long time and became guide 2 years ago. Welcome to Fukuoka tour

“Excellent walking tour around Fukuoka”

We started off by taking the train to Daizaifu shrine, which wasn't too busy at 10am. I bought a snack of warabi mochi which was yummy. We pased the famout Starbucks, and made our way over the 3 bridges to the shrine itself. If you see a long queue to touch the bull, don't g to that one as there are a few ones around with no queue. Pro tip: make your way to the stairs to Tenkai Inari Shrine as it's away from the crowds. We then made our way back into Fukuoka to Curry Honpo, a delicious speciality curry restaurant using a recipe going back decades. We then visited Kushida Shrine, Hakata Machiya Hometown Museum and finally Tochoji Temple. Hitomi was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended!

The introduction of Fukuoka city(4 hours)

“Kazue - a creative and hospitable guide and language skills.”

Kazue was creative in accommodating our requests and special needs on our tour of Fukuoka. She is a great driver and has a wealth of knowledge about the area. Her background as a flight attendant has made her skilled in hospitality and language. We would not have been able to navigate the various sites without her guidance.
