Toshi is a very kind person with an interesting life, however the tour was far from our expectations. We would have loved to learn more about the city history and habits, while we received just nice company from one place to another. We decided to stop the tour earlier than agreed.
Dear Lucia san, Sorry to hear about your comments. Hope we had enough time to discuss about tour but due to short notice and half day blank of contact the day before tour. Anyway I apologize and I’ll never accept one day before bookings. Mntime our contract was 3and half hours and it was 1pm, just the time and never earlier than agreed which I firmly confirmed by watch. Anyway thanks very much for the tea at temple. Regards Toshi K.
I think the tour could have been better if Toshiro was more enthusiastic to take us around.
Sorry for your comment. The museum was hard for me to show you around as a son, reminding me my late father who was a navy. Toshi
Toshiro is an highly intelligent man that is very knowledgeable and fun to be around. We went to Tsukiji market, Asakusa, Ginza and so many other places that I lost count. What makes Toshiro unique is his perfect English, high knowledge of food and restaurants around Tokyo and easy going personality. Toshiro really knows so much and even advises you on authentic versus not high quality food which allows you to avoid tourist traps. I spoke with Toshiro for literally hours and hours and it really felt like spending time with an old friend. Toshiro is special in which we try a variety of different food while on the tour and end at a very delicious restaurant. He even helped me book a train to Kyoto. Toshiro is highly professional, punctional and attentive and I truly recommend him to others. Thank you for a great day in Japan Toshiro!
Dear Christina san, Thanks so much for your compliment. I don’t know how to thank you enough for appointing me and myself enjoyed showing you around and sorry for not able to paying attention to your condition. pls consult with a hotel staff for any help to get better ready for Kyoto trip. Hoping your nice trip for remaining days in Japan and safely go back to LA.
I had asked TripleLights if they had guides who spoke Mandarin and they had suggested a few names. When I wrote to Toshiro, I had a number of replies and I was assured from the correspondences that he took his guiding very seriously. Toshiro is considerate and kind. He ensured that my mother (75 years of age) could understand him through his spoken Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien dialects. I did also communicate that she had walking challenges so when it came to taking the stairs at the subways, Toshiro always made it a point to look for escalators or elevators. Mom had 2 trips with Toshiro, both of which lasted 4 to 5 hours, so that it would not be too exhausting for her. She also could only start her adventures from 10am onwards, so Toshiro was kind enough to time the itinerary as much as possible to accommodate her. I would certainly recommend Toshiro to be the guide if you have elderly travelling with you who do not speak English but who wish to enjoy Tokyo with a local Japanese. It was fun for mom!
Hi Joanne san, It was nice guiding your mom while first day under heavy rain walked almost one hour. Besides I haven’t spoken mandarin almost a month (second day was bit better). Your complement gave me a lot of energy and motivation. Now many subway stations are constructing elevators and escalators so your mom forced to walk up and down staircases. next year more convenient towards Olympic. Welcome back to Tokyo again next year. Thanks again for your nomination. Toshi
