“More Tokyo!”
After the ½ day tour with our guide Kahoko, we took a full day tour. Kahoko met us in our hotel lobby and then we were off to more subway riding! Thank goodness we had Kahoko to tell us what to do on the subways. Went to the Fish Market (Tsukiji outer market) - David thought it was too much shopping… lol. Saw another shrine close to the fish market where they were performing a ceremony. Then we made our way to a lovey park with a tea house (Hamarikyu garden). At the tea house, Kahoko got us cool matcha tea and showed us how to drink it properly. Also had a very cute dessert. In the park I saw a manhole cover with a ginko tree design. (Who would of thought that manhole covers were beautiful!) Then it was off to a Japanese lunch way up high in one of the buildings adjacent to the park. We could look down and see the tea house that we were just at. After lunch, we went to the Meiji Jingu Shrine. It was right beside the subway, but felt like you were isolated from the world. Lots of trees! We saw the end of a big ceremony when we arrived. After we left, we went to Shibuya Crossing and saw the statue of Hachiko (loyal dog). Then we did the scrambled crossing. Lots of people!!! Afterwards Kahoko took use to the Japanese equivalent to a Lowes home improvement store. It was called “Hands”. (We were looking for a roll of painters tape… not a normal thing for a tour - lol). Also saw the close by Jinnan shopping district before heading back to the subway for the ride back to our hotel. Thanks, Kahoko – it was a great day. And David is still using his parasol!

Thank you very much for another kind review! I really appreciate it. I had a lovely time on the day as well the other tour thanks to you. In Tsukiji ,hustle -bustle market place and ceremonial shrine are a good contrast. In Hama rikyu, the tea time in the tea house on the pond was really relaxing. I was happy to show you about tea ceremony even a little. Also lunch time in the restaurant with a great view was peaceful enjoyable owing to your generosity. In Meiji jingu shrine , we were able to see solemn ceremonial procession. It was great experience for me because I have never seen it there. All in all, we could visit several places in a limited time smoothly under the heat. As you allowed me to use a parasol , the tour was much easier than usual . Thank you very much for asking me for two days. I hope you and your family's good health and good luck for long long time. Thank you again and take care!

“Lovely introduction to Tokyo”
On our half detour, Kahoko (a very lovely lady) met us in our hotel lobby and took us to the subway station entrance just outside the hotel. There she showed us how to pay for and get on the subway. Very important for traveling in Tokyo! First, she took us to the Imperial Palace east garden for a quick stroll. (we made it quick because it was so hot the day we went.) then we trolled over to the Imperial Gardens Nijubashi bridge . It was majestic. Since it was hot, she held a taxi for us to ride the short distance to the Nakamise shopping street which leads to the Senso-Ji shrine. There she showed us how to cleanse our hands before we walked up to the temple . Then she took us to the Asakusa shrine right beside the temple and explained the difference between temples and shrines. Kahoko also showed us the ginkgo tree behind the shrine- I had actually never seen one! It was a lovely introduction to Tokyo.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review ! I was wondering how your cruise trip was like. Probably it was relaxing and pleasant , wasn't it ? Even though our tours were end of June, it was really hot ! Under that harsh condition, you were cheerful and cooperative to me. Thanks to your tolerance, I had such a lovely time with you. During two days , I was able to learn something new from you. You are planning next trip because you are frequent travelers, probably? I hope you will come back to Japan some day soon. There are more places to visit in Japan. Since then, please take care, and good luck !

“Tour with Kahoko!”
Our family of 5 (2 parents and 3 adult children ages 28, 24 and 18) had a half day tour with Kahoko and it was great! Our flight arrived at 3am (so brutal) and our tour started at 9am. Kahoko did an awesome job of showing us around Shinjuku, Harajuku and Shibuya. She paid special attention to pointing out things my kids would love (shopping and thrifting!). We were exhausted at about the 3 hour mark so decided to stop for lunch and Kahoko helped us with finding a yummy udon noodle place and even helped with ordering. It was nice to sit and relax during the meal with her….like eating a meal with a friend :) We walked about 15,000 steps with her and she was friendly and high energy the whole time (even when we were fading!). I highly recommend Kahoko for your family tour!

Thank you very much for the wonderful review ! I had such a lovely time with a terrific family. From the first sight, honestly , I was afraid that it would be hard to do a tour after the long flight and under raining. Still , once we met , you all gave me a warm smiles and got full-psyched up for the tour. As you were spontaneous and ready to enjoy the tour, it went amazingly smoothly. I really appreciate your cooperation. So I am sure you will be able to enjoy every moment in Japan. I just hope your rest of the trip will be full of excitement and laughters. Thank you again, and take care!
