We walk along the 700-year-old path.

Those places are worth visiting. However, this tour is not just to visit many famous sites. From one place to the next, we walk an alley or move by public transportation like locals. The guide will explain not only history and tradition but also about modern people and lifestyles.

13:20

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

The first highlight is the shrine founded about 800 years ago by a Samurai.

You will find many Japanese traditions and customs. Your guide will explain it. At the main shrine, we will make a greeting to the deities the same as local people. Let's try it together!

14:20

Hokokuji Temple

The next highlight, Hokokuji Temple is known as the Bamboo Temple.

We will observe some beautiful gardens and the famous bamboo forest. If you prefer green tees, they offer matcha green tea at the cafe. You can drink tea watching the bamboo forest.

15:40

Great Buddha

The third highlight, the Great Buddha is an 11 meters high bronze statue built about 700 years ago.

It's a magnificent landmark of Kamakura. The guide will explain how to make the statue. The story of the Great Buddha and the earthquakes is also impressive. If it's a comfortable evening, it's a good idea to stroll along the beach.

Flowers in Kamakura: The Great Buddha, Hasedera Temple, and Eishoji Temple etc.

Kamakura

Kamakura is a very healing city, which became the capital of Samurai at the end of the 12th century, and has a lot of temples where we can see lovely flowers. We will ride a train for approximately an hour or so from Tokyo/Yokohama/Kawasaki area to visit there. Appreciating the flowers, some temples and shrines, we can also enjoy the beautiful twilight seaview.

KAMAKURA! What a perfect place to escape from daily bustlness. The town famous for zen-buddhism and as the first de-facto capital ever established by samurais gives us splendid time to enjoy the rustic but solemn atmosphere.

My favorite Kamakura!

Kamakura

I've been a guide of Kamakura for a long time, having noticed that the nature adds an extra tastes to the peaceful atomosphere of temples and shrines in Kamakura. Plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, azalea, hydrangea, roses, crape myrtles, colored leaves, moss, etc and Mt. Fuji! Let me choose some best spots by the time of the year!! Green tea and 'Masamune' swordsmith is included in this tour too.
