Begin your day in the charming Kitano Ijinkan area, home to preserved Western-style houses from Kobe’s international trading port era. Explore the unique architecture, visit heritage buildings, and enjoy the blend of Japanese and Western influences. A perfect place to grab a morning coffee or take some picturesque photos.
Mount Rokko (Rokko San)
Next, we’ll drive up to Mount Rokko for stunning panoramic views of Kobe, Osaka Bay, and the surrounding landscapes. Visit the Rokko Garden Terrace for a relaxing walk, or enjoy the Rokko Music Box Museum if you’re interested in a touch of history and craftsmanship. The mountain offers a refreshing escape into nature.
Kobe beef lunch
Indulge in the highlight of the day with a premium Kobe beef lunch at a renowned local restaurant. Known for its rich flavor and tender texture, Kobe beef is a must-try for any food enthusiast. Lunch options can be customised depending on your own preferences (Vegan and Vegetarian option available).
Maya-san Tenjo-ji Temple
After lunch, we’ll visit the serene Tenjo-ji Temple on Mount Maya. This peaceful, lesser-known temple is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery and offers a tranquil retreat from the bustling city.
Arima Onsen Town
Discover the charm of Arima, one of Japan’s oldest and most famous hot spring towns.
Explore the quaint streets lined with traditional shops selling local crafts, sweets, and souvenirs.
Optional: Take a relaxing soak in one of the onsen (hot springs) for a rejuvenating experience. Choose from public baths or a private onsen, depending on your preference.

Private Transportation: Comfortable transportation in a Toyota Prius hybrid, accommodating up to 3 passengers with air conditioning.
Gasoline and Toll Fees: All fuel and highway toll costs are included in the tour price.
Station Pick-Up and Drop-Off: Convenient pick-up and drop-off at Kobe Sannomiya station.
Customizable Itinerary: Tailored stops and activities based on your preferences.
Meals: Lunch (Kobe beef) and any snacks or drinks during the tour. Estimated cost: ¥1,000–¥3,000 per person, depending on the restaurant and meal choice.
Entrance Fees: Admission to attractions such as Mount Rokko facilities, the Rokko Music Box Museum, or Tenjo-ji Temple (if applicable). Estimated cost: ¥1,000–¥2,000 per person.
Optional Onsen Entry: If you choose to visit an onsen in Arima, the entry fee is approximately ¥1,000–¥2,500 per person, depending on the facility.
Personal Expenses: Any additional shopping or souvenirs.

Tour Important Information
This tour involves moderate walking, including at temples and in Arima Onsen, so please wear comfortable shoes.
Some areas may include stairs or uneven terrain; this tour is not recommended for those with severe back or knee problems.
The tour is not fully wheelchair accessible due to steps and narrow paths in certain locations.
Please inform me in advance of any food allergies or dietary restrictions, especially for the Kobe beef lunch.
Dress appropriately for the season; Mount Rokko and Arima Onsen can be cooler than other areas.
The tour includes transportation in my car, but walking will be required at certain stops.

This is not my first trip to Japan and I’m traveling solo. I really want to visit a place in Nara that is only accessible by car. I booked Shu for a personalized tour without thinking too much. I have to say Shu had exceed all my expectations! He is really friendly and flexible. We met at Nara station and he drove me to the highland near Nara. I felt really easy around him. We talked about Japanese culture, his travel experiences and my travel experiences. He really feels like a friend that I’ve known for a long time. He helped me to take photos when we got there and hiked with me to the mountain. He is a good photographer. He also helped me to book a restaurant that I really want to visit. I would highly recommend Shu to any traveler, just because he is very personable and flexible. The experience made me felt like home hanging out with a good friend! I will definitely book Shu again for my future travels!
