Kiyomizu-dera Temple
Kiyomizu-dera Temple offers stunning panoramic views of Kyoto, especially from its famous wooden stage. During the cherry blossom season, the temple's grounds are covered in beautiful sakura trees, making it a perfect spot for breathtaking photographs.
Maruyama Park
Maruyama Park is one of the most famous places in Kyoto for cherry blossom viewing. The large weeping cherry tree here creates a beautiful canopy of pink blossoms, providing a perfect picnic spot during the Sakura season.
There are souvenir shops and cafés, so you can take a lunch break while exploring.
Shōren-in Temple

Philosopher’s Path is a scenic 2km walk alongside a canal, lined with hundreds of cherry trees. In spring, the path is a breathtaking sight, with pink blossoms creating a tunnel over the walkway, perfect for a relaxing stroll.

The cherry blossom season in Kyoto for 2025 is expected to start in late March, with peak bloom between April 3 and April 6. Early April will be the best time to enjoy the blossoms at their finest. Since the timing can vary depending on weather conditions, we recommend checking local forecasts closer to your visit to catch them at their peak.
