A JR (Japan Rail) pass comes in handy, so get one at the airport. “Amazing day with Hiro - highly recommend! ”

With a career as a teacher, our day with Hiro was highly informative but also a lot of fun! He guided us around the city for a packed day of shrines and other key sites in the city. “Kagoshima Airport Pick up and Drive Tour”

We arrived mid-morning and knew we had several hours to kill before we were able to check in. Mr. Yamada met us at the airport on time and we started our drive tour. Though technically not a tour guide, he was quite knowledgeable, personable, and an excellent driver. The taxi was immaculate and comfortable. We communicated through Google Translate which worked out very well. He took us to Sakurajima Island and other places in the area that would have been difficult to visit if it wasn't for his expertise. All in all, it was a fantastic day and we were super happy that we were able to arrange this private drive-- tour-a big thumbs up.
