Itinerary

This itinerary can be customized to meet your needs and preferences. Send me a message with your requests!

09:30 AM

Meeting Point

At a hotel lobby

- Another option: the Matsugae cruise ship terminal

09:40 AM

The Confucius Temple

We visit this temple, including the temple museum, as the first point.

10:20 AM

Leave the Confucius Temple & walk to the Site of the Chinese Settlement

The settlement is outside Chinatown. This city has a deep history of trading with China. The settlement area was reserved exclusively for Chinese merchants. To the settlement, there is a slope, so wearing sneakers is best.

10:40 AM

Arrive at the Site of the Chinese Settlement & visit there

Because China doesn't have a Catholic culture, the Chinese merchants could live outside Dejima. There are some small Chinese buildings, but you can find that the merchants were freer than the Dutch merchants.

11:00 AM

Leave the settlement & walk around the Chinatown

Most restaurants in Chinatown open from 11:30 am, so that we can walk around the area and visit some shops. As a recommendation, the area has a Ghibli goods shop, a Kimono shop, and a sweet shop.

11:30 AM

Have lunch at a restaurant in the Chinatown

Following your requests, I suggest the best restaurant for our lunch. I would like to ask you whether you like drinking or not, too, due to the drink menu in a restaurant.

12:30 PM

Leave the restaurant & walk to a Chinese temple

As my recommendations, there are the Sofukuji temple, the Kofukuji temple, and the Fukusaiji temple. 2 of the former temples are on Temple street, Tera-machi, where avaiable to walk from Chinatown. But the latter temple has a big impression, is farther from Chinatown, and closer to the JR Nagasaki station. If you prefer visiting the latter temple, we can use a tram or a bus to the JR station area and walk up the stairs. Some temples have Goshuin stamps, so if you collect stamps, please let me know. I'm collecting stamps, too!

01:00 PM

Arrive at a temple & visit 2 temples totally

If you want to visit the Kofukuji temple, visiting the Megane stone bridge is included. The stone bridge was designed by the 2nd-generation owner of the Kofukuji temple. A way to every temple is rough, so wearing sneakers is best. Please don't wear pumps or high heels.

02:30 PM

Leave the 2nd temple & back to the meeting point

If you need to, we can take a tram or bus to the meeting point. If you prefer a taxi, you can be free to call a taxi, too.

03:00 PM

Arrive at the meeting point

To finish the tour.

Ending Point

A hotel you stay or the Matsugae cruise ship terminal

About Tour Guide Yuki K.

In 2025, it's the 3rd year as a private tour guide. I speak English and German a little. My hobbies are knitting, handicrafts of earrings and keychains, writing & reading novels in Japanese, and searching for good cafes. Next year, I'm about starting to garden for vegetables and harbs. The main place of a tour is Nagasaki city, including the war hisotory spots. I'd like to guide you to the cities of Sasebo, Saikai, and Unzen, too, if you hope. But I don't have a driving lisence, so transport

while your tour is necessary. I'm good at a family tour for your young kids, too. I like kids, so I'd like to suggest some ideas for their playing in the Nagasaki prefecture.

Review for Yuki K – Tour Guide in Nagasaki

Our tour of Nagasaki with Yuki K was an outstanding experience. She guided us through the Dutch shipyard, local glass handicraft workshops, and shopping areas with a perfect balance of knowledge, warmth, and professionalism. Yuki's personality made the day feel relaxed and enjoyable, and her flexibility was especially appreciated. When our plans suddenly shifted to accommodate my wife and kids, she effortlessly pivoted and adjusted the itinerary without missing a beat. Her organization and local insight helped us get the most out of our time in Nagasaki. I would definitely recommend Yuki K to anyone looking for a well-prepared, thoughtful, and family-friendly guide in Nagasaki.
