After moving from the hotel to the arcade by tram, I'm delighted to follow your requests about what you want. Mainly, I'd like to take you to more local shops, not chain stores. Not only about handicraft, stationary, or pottery, more requests about cultures that you're interested in are welcome!

Break time at a local cafe

Please tell me which you're more interested in, Castella, the local sponge cake in Nagasaki, or Wagashi, Japanese sweets. Also, whether you're allergic to any foods or not is very important information for me.

Move by tram to the Glover Garden

Take a tram and move to the Glover Garden. Since 2025 autumn, any trams in Nagasaki are available to pay by a credit card.

The Glover Garden

After taking a tram off & going up a slope, pay the fee for the Glover Garden. Until sunset time, you can learn about the end of the Edo period & Thomas Glover, one of those who developed this city. At the garden deck, you can see both sunset & evening view with lights. This city has one of the most beautiful night views. At the garden exit, you can see the exhibitions of the Nagasaki Okunchi festival's ships & a dragon figure made of bamboo pieces. Next to the exhibitions, a souvenir store is at the edge of the garden exit. If you don't want to buy anything there, you can go through, of course.

*Admission fee for the Glover Garden( it's 620 yen per person by the end of March 2026, and 1,300 yen per person from April 1st 2026) The fees are available to pay by card.

Tour Important Information

*This tour includes walking around the arcade & going up to the slope to the Glover Garden's entrance. And going down the slope after visiting the garden, too.

*Wearing sneakers would be the most comfortable.

*Most shops are available to pay by card, but some only accept cash.

*Please let me know in advance if you have any food allergies, or if you prefer tea, coffee, or a caffeine-free drink.

*The Glover Garden isn't perfectly friendly for whom takes a wheelchair.

*Some nice cafes for Japanese sweets or Castella are outside the Hamano-machi arcade, but another are closer to the arcade.

Important message from the supplier

Not only Nagasaki, but I can also guide you in Sasebo, Unzen, and other smaller cities in the prefecture if you pay my transportation fee.

When I have no tours on the 2nd Saturday, I do volunteer activities for a non-profit association of peace in Nagasaki.

My hobbies are knitting, handicrafts of earrings and keychains, writing & reading novels in Japanese, and searching for good cafes. Next year, I'm about starting to garden for vegetables and harbs. The main place of a tour is Nagasaki city, including the war hisotory spots. I'd like to guide you to the cities of Sasebo, Saikai, and Unzen, too, if you hope. But I don't have a driving lisence, so transport

while your tour is necessary. I'm good at a family tour for your young kids, too. I like kids, so I'd like to suggest some ideas for their playing in the Nagasaki prefecture.

“Nagasaki Bomb Tour”

My family of 8 were on a cruise around Japan we arranged for Yuki to guide us through the Nagasaki Bomb area and its history while we visited that port. Her communication was excellent from start to finish. She was well prepared and even had hand crafted each couple (there were 4 couples) a gift bag with assorted hand made gift inside. She was very knowledgeable of the area and its history. She took us through an elementary school that was partially left standing after the bomb. My family loved her and I highly recommend Yuki if you are visiting the area and need a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide! Many thanks again Yuki!!

Yuki made sure to give us a unique experience and asked us even before the tour started what our interest and expectations were for the trip. Our driver was also delightful.
