One day trip to Kuro-shima island. There is Kuro-shima Catholic Church which is designated as the Hidden Christian World Heritage. The island belongs to the Kujyukushima islands. You can reach the island only by the small ferry boat, only 3-4 times a day, to and from Kuro-shima. In the island, poor public transportation, but rental power assist bicycle is available.

At your hotel, somewhere in Sasebo city or Ainoura port
((Normal season)) Meet-up at your hotel on 9:00am or at Ferry port on 9:30, Cost: Meet-up fee (1,500JPY) in cash on site, Boat fee (round ticket)

Arrive at Kuroshima port at 10:50(Off) or at 9:20am(High). Rent rental bycicles, ride to the first spot. Cost rental power asist bycicle
Kuro-shima Shurine : Japanese original religion, Shinto shurine, with natural forest
Kozen-ji Temple : Buddist temple, Hidden Christian was hiding as a buddist follower in those day.
Old sasanqua tree in Neya: The biggest and oldest sasanqua tree in northern Nagasaki. Old Christians took oil from nuts of this tree.
Catholic semetary : Tomb stone of Joseph Ferdinand Marmand(Cathoric priest) is located
Kuro-shima Cathoric Church (World Heritage) : Observe outside of the church (Inside will be available from Apr. 2021.)
Huge Ficus sperba: Observe a huge tree of ficus sperba. Used for windbreak.
Nagasaki-bana(Warabe) Outlook : No.1 outlook in Kuro-shima Great island view, can observe Kujyukushima islands, Hirado, Ohshima, Goto islands.
((Normal season)) Leave Kuroshima port at 3:30pm for Ainoura port, arrive Ainoura port at 4:20pm, drive to the hotel, tour end.
((High season)) Leave Kuroshima port at 3:40pm for Ainoura port, arrive Ainoura port at 4:10pm, drive to the hotel, tour end.

You will pay guiding related fee when you book the tour on web site.
But you will pay the excluding fees on-site; such as Taxi, public transportation, shuttle boat to Kuroshima, electric bike fees and meal (including a guide).
On Kuro-shima, public transportations are poor, so we have to walk or rent a power assist bicycle.(Kuro-shima is not flat land)
We might not be able to observe inside of the churches because of the church condition(Sunday MASS, special event, etc...).
We have to use the public bus or taxi to and from the shuttle ship port.
On Sunday morning, almost all churches have MASS, so might not be able to observe inside.
Important message from the supplier
My guiding rate is 6,000 JPY hourly (up to 4 pax), and 7,000 JPY hourly (5 to 8 pax), and a Meet-up fee (Guide's transportation fee back and forth to the meeting spot) is 5,000 JPY (in Nagasaki city). I do not take the group that is more than 8 people.
For example, an 8-hour tour for up to 4 pax costs 48,000 JPY plus a Meet-up fee: 6,000 JPY, and my private car-related expenses: 4,000 JPY (including parking fee, tolls, and gas during the tour). So the total price is 58,000 JPY
Please remember you will pay for the admission of pay facilities and meals on-site. They are not including to the tour price that you paid on the web.
Up to 4 customers are accommodated in my private car (Toyota Prius, 5pax car), but more than 4 guests need to rent a suitable-sized rental car (6 to 10 pax) or hire a jumbo taxi (8 pax max) during the tour. The rental car and taxi costs vary depending on the conditions, so my published tour price doesn't include taxi and rental car costs. If you use my private car, you will pay 5,000 JPY (including the parking, toll road, and gas). If you use a rental car, I will inform the rental car-related price before booking.
After the negotiation of the tour, I will fix the car-related price and add this price to the published tour price so that you realize the total tour price before you book it.
You only pay for admission of pay facilities, and meals on-site.
My coverage areas are Nagasaki, Saga, and Fukuoka Prefectures, including the remote islands of Nagasaki Prefecture. But I live in near Omura city in Nagasaki Pref., so far places from my house cost more Meet-up fee (Guide's transportation back and forth to the meeting place).

Hello, everyone!! My name is Yukihiro, call me "HERO". I'm eager to introduce this unique country, Japan to foreign guests. I am not a professional interpreter. I have retired from Japan Ground Self-Defense Force(JGSDF=Japanese Army) on March 2018.
I have spent most of my career as a Army NCO(Non-commissioned officer) . My job experiences are only in the military, but there are variety of specialties, so I didn't feel boredom. I lived in many places all over Japan, such as Hokkaido for 10 years, Chiba for 15 years, Okinawa for 17 years, and more places.
I am working for the half of month as a tour-conductor in Okinawa Japan. Rest of month, I live in Nagasaki Prefecture, and work as a GoWithGuide interpreter tour guide.
I am registered as a Okinawa prefectural interpreter tour guide, but don't have a whole Japan area certification. So I am brushing my skill up to get it.
I speak English, and do basic Chinese conversation , not like a native though.

“Awesome Hidden Christians tour and great guide ”
We had a great time in the Hirado area. Beautiful scenery to go along with the sad history of the Hidden Christians. Hiro was a great guide for this area. He started out with a great itinerary. But he was very flexible in adapting to our specific requests, which made for a very challenging and packed itinerary. The biggest challenge was the logistics. Hiro made it work. He carefully planned the logistics ahead of time and kept us on schedule. And he added tremendous insight based on his knowledge of the region, the people and history. We can't recommend Hiro and the Hirado area tour of the Hidden Christian sites enough. Thanks for everything. We had a great and fulfilling time.

Hi Eddie & Nolena, Thank you very much for the great review of my tour of Hirado & Ikitsuki. I really appreciated it. Normally, this tour will be a one-day tour, but Hirado & Ikitsuki area is far from big city like Nagasaki and Sasebo, so it will be rushed sometimes if I cover many places in this area. You provided me 2 days and accommodation in Hirado, so I could do the tour very effectively and completed your requested places in this area. And also I could take you to the 26 martyrs related place in my hometown, too. It is not on the list, but I wanted you to visit there. Both of you are very eager to visit and understand Hidden-Christian history and local culture, so I tried to explain and introduce them as much as I could. As for the UNESCO-designated Hidden Christian World Heritage sites, we saw and visited 2 of 12, such as Nakaeno-shima, Kasuga community & Mt. Yasuman. “The last 2 days of the 26 Martyrs trail”
We are a group of friends who were exploring the trail of the 26 Japanese Christian Martyrs of Nagasaki (c1597) and Hero-san was our guide for the day. Hero-san worked hard even before our meet-up: he researched the trail from Japanese sources, walked the trail on his own, printed for us copies of his research, and then walked the trail with us on the day itself. Hero-san was committed, flexible and incredibly accommodating. Our joint exploration saw adaptations as we chased different leads. The tour ended at the historical departure spot of the 26 martyrs at Sonogi, right at sunset. We could not have ended the day better. Thank you once again Hero for an incredible tour and day!

Hidden Christian Pilgrimage ⑨: GOTO (3rd／4 days)
This tour is the 3rd day of 4days GOTO pilgrimage tour. The itinerary is not for one day tour. It covers only 1/4 of GOTO pilgrimage tour. GOTO islands are composed of many islands. A few numbers of shuttle ships and special charter ships are the only transportations connecting each island. At least 3days or more need to visit the whole main islands of GOTO.
