Meeting Point
At a hotel lobby or the Matsugae cruise ship terminal
- At the meeting point, this tour starts.
Nagasaki City Tortoiseshell Craft Museum
Arrive & visit the museum. This museum has many beautiful works.
Leave the museum and take a local bus
Taking a local bus is more convenient to go to the AMU Plaza shopping mall for the handicraft experience with redin or beads.
Have a handicraft experience at the shop "Parts Club"
This shopping mall is open from 10am. After purchasing parts at the shop, you can do crafting, borrowing some tools. If you need and ask me in advance, I'll bring some of my tools as a crafting-lover.
*The workbenches in the shop cannot be reserved. They are meant to be shared spaces, and users need to be considerate of each other and give up their seats when necessary. That said, this shop is rarely crowded right after opening.
Leave the shop "Parts Club" & go to a restaurant for lunch
Following your requests about lunch, I suggest the best one. So, a restaurant location is on depend.
Arrive at a restaurant & have lunch
This time calculation is for the case in the China town or closer to the cruise ship terminal. If a suitable restaurant is located in closer to the shopping mall, we can have lunch a little earlier.
Leave a restaurant & take a bus
After lunch, we will go back to the meeting point by bus.
Arrive at the meeting point
To finish this tour.
Ending Point
A hotel you stay or the Matsugae cruise ship terminal

About Tour Guide Yuki K.
In 2025, it's the 3rd year as a private tour guide. I speak English and German a little. My hobbies are knitting, handicrafts of earrings and keychains, writing & reading novels in Japanese, and searching for good cafes. Next year, I'm about starting to garden for vegetables and harbs. The main place of a tour is Nagasaki city, including the war hisotory spots. I'd like to guide you to the cities of Sasebo, Saikai, and Unzen, too, if you hope. But I don't have a driving lisence, so transport
while your tour is necessary. I'm good at a family tour for your young kids, too. I like kids, so I'd like to suggest some ideas for their playing in the Nagasaki prefecture.

“Fascinating tour in Nagasaki”
Yuki is one of the best tour guides we have had in Japan . She was in touch a couple of times before the tour to see if we wanted to tweak her proposed itinerary. She was wearing a kimono which was a lovely surprise. She took us to a couple of places that we wouldn’t have found on our own and is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the atomic bomb. We learned a lot from her and visited all the main locations and a few hidden gems. She found an amazing cafe for lunch. I can thoroughly recommend her and would use her again if we return to Nagasaki . She is knowledgable, enthusiastic and an all round lovely person !

Hi Karen, Thank you for your super-positive feedback! I, too, enjoyed the tour with you. Mixing requests & hidden gems where most tourists won't notice, is one of my important thoughts. Sharing the history, talking, and the relaxing time at the cafe, which had 2 real dogs...Everything was so lovely:) Thank you again, I'm looking forward to meeting you again at Nagasaki!

“Highly recommended!”
As a solo traveler who doesn't speak Japanese, a great guide is a godsent. Yuki did her outmost to make my time in Nagasaki a memorable experience and took extra care to cater to my preferences. She is one of those rare people that make you instantly relax when you meet her. We had a great dinner at the habour of Nagasaki before going up to mount Inasa to look out on a night-lit city. Yuki was so easy to talk to and really sociable the whole time.

The local history in Nagasaki about the damage by the atomic bomb
On 1945 August 9th, the city was damaged by the atomic bomb. In this tour, not only the atomic bomb museum & the Peace Park, but also some local places are available to visit. (August 7th to 9th are not on sale because I'm an attendee of a peace ambassador for the ceremony.)

Classic culture (+experience as option)& war history near JR Nagasaki Station
Starting at the JR Nagasaki Station, we go to the Fukusaiji temple, the Nagasaki Prefecture Culture & History Museum, and the site of Nagasaki Prefecture Air Defence Headquarters. The history in Nagasaki is not only about the damage caused by the atomic bomb, but you can learn about more as if you're local.

Hydrangeas as the city flower & a hidden Garden in Nagasaki
[This plan is only in June because of the hydrangea's season.] The Megane bashi & the Kofukuji temple, as national heritages, are decorated with hydrangeas as the city flower of Nagasaki in June. The Mihara garden is in a hidden area, and using a cab is much more convenient than using a local bus. However, the garden established by a famous local man will become your favorite place! Ther're some important tips: It's necessary to wear sneakers or non-heel-shoes because of slopes and steps.
