Hot Springs and A Natural Monkey Mountain Park

Beppu is famous for its hot springs. One is a regular bath which we usually soak in and relax in and the other is what we call "jigoku" which is just for watching as tourists' spot. There are several types of "jigoku". A steamed, healthy dish by using the heat of hot springs is called "jigokumushi", and it is good for lunch. You also visit natural monkey mountain with many monkeys.

Two famous Hells: Sea Hell, whose color is cobalt blue and Bubble Hell which consists of hot mud.
A steamed healthy lunch called ”jigokumiushi
An old thatched huts making bath salt in a traditional way.
A monkey mountain with more than 1000 wild monkeys, including lovely babies.

Transportation fee depends on where you stay and which transportation you take. Taxi fare is much more expensive than that of bus.

At a monkey mountain park, don't stare at monkeys and don't give them any food.
Schedule is subject to change weather and condition of the visiting spots.
To move to the next destination, you can choose either a bus or a taxi. A taxi fare is higher than that of a bus.

About Tour Guide Yasuko S.
Hello! My name is Yasuko. I was born and brought up in Oita. Oita is located in the eastern part of Kyushu, and is situated close to both the sea and the mountains. Oita is famous for its hot springs but there are many other good sightseeing spots, too.
