Explore WW2 war Sites of Battle of Okinawa
Visit the WW2 war sites of Battle of Okinawa, such as the U.S. Forces landing place, main battle sites, the Japanese forces facilities or ruins, and Battle of Okinawa-related museum and so on.
Pick you up and drop you off at designated place. Basic tour duration is 8 hours. My guiding rate is 5,000 JPY hourly(1-4 pax), 6,000 JPY hourly (5-8 pax). This including the Meet-up fees.
We use the Taxi for the part of the routes because of poor public transportation in Okinawa.
Meeting Point

Get off the taxi.
The first Landing area of U.S forces on the main Okinawa island.
Walk to the next place.
U.S. Forces Landing Monument【 10 min.】
Walk to the monument.
Then call the taxi to the next place.
Kakazu Hill (The 1st major battle site)【 30 min.】
Get off, but keep the taxi there.
Visit the first major battle site.
Get on the same taxi to the next place.
Maeda Hill (Hacksaw Ridge: The 2nd Major battle site)【 20 min.】
Get off the taxi. Walk to the Hacksaw Ridge
U.S. side name is Hacksaw Ridge. It is getting famous by American Movie "Hacksaw Ridge".
Walk to the next place.
Urasoe-Yodore Mausoleum【5 min.】
Visit Mausoleum.
Catch the taxi and move to the next place.
Shugar Loaf Hill (The 3rd major battle site)【 No stop】
No parking area, just passing by the taxi.
JPN 32nd Army underground HQ's entrances (Shuri-jo Castle site) 【40(60)min.】
Get off the taxi.
Entrances are located underground of the Shuri-jo Castle.
If you want to see the castle area on the ground, takes more time.
Parking fee needed, (Admission if you enter pay area)
Walking to the next place.
Lunch at the local restaurant【40 min.】
Have a lunch at the local restaurant.
Lunch: 1,400 JPY each

Peace Memorial Museum【30min.】
The Battle of Okinawa memorial Museum.

Tour Important Information
You will pay the taxi fees in every ride to the Taxi driver in cash or by credit card on-site. Some taxi accept only in cash.
Taxi fees don't include parking and toll-road fees. You will pay them separately on-site if used.
You will pay the Admission fee at every pay facility you visit.
You can choose or request the visiting spots and the tour duration (5h to 9h) by coordinating with the guide. You can change the visiting order also.
Some facilities have a fixed holiday, will skip them.
Depending on the Meeting place, the visiting order will be different.
Admission fees in some places are only available in cash.
Important message from the guide
Depending on the number of customers, we need to hire a taxi of a suitable size for the tour. You will pay the taxi fee directly to the taxi driver in cash or credit card depending on the taxi company.
My coverage areas are all Okinawa prefecture, including remote islands. But I live in the Okinawa main island, so a starting and ending point should be in Okinawa main island.
I am working in both Okinawa and Nagasaki, working 2 areas for about half a half days a month. If you intend to travel in northern Kyushu such as Nagasaki, Saga and Fukuoka, visit my another account page(Nagasaki area). There is another my schedule calendar in those areas.
