We will visit Universities in Tokyo. Education since the Meiji Era was one of the secrets of success of Japan's modernization. We will visit characteristic universities in Tokyo and search and feel the academic atmosphere there. 1. Tokyo University of Marine science & Technology in Shinagawa. 2. Tokyo University in Hongo (Akamon -gate, Sanchiro-pond, Yasuda Auditorium, Statue of Hachi ) 3. Tokyo University of Arts (Kuroda Memorial Museum) 4. Meiji University (museum)

Be sure to be with light clothing for a walk.
Depending on your request or time schedule, it is possible to delete one university. (or to shorten this itinerary)
Checkpoints information
1. Tokyo University of Marine Science & Technology in Shinagawa.
We can see the skeletal specimen of the whole, and can be on board of the old training ship "Unyou-maru" ( now on the ground.)
2. Tokyo University in Hongo.
(Akamon -gate, Sanchiro-pond, Yasuda Auditorium, Statue of Hachi etc.)
The best university in Japan. This site used to be Daimyou's mansion. We can buy T-shirts with logo at the communication center.
Lunch at "students cafeteria."
3. Tokyo University of Arts (Kuroda Memorial Museum)
We can see the masterpieces of Mr. Kuroda, who was one of the first western style painters in Japan.
4. Meiji University (Museum)
5. Jimbocho
We can stroll the Jimboucho district famous for its old bookshops.

About Tour Guide Naoya U.
My Name is Naoya.
I was born in Tokyo in 1952.
After my graduation from Keio University, I joined a Japanese bank.
Mainly I was assigned international business and stayed in London for three years.
At the age of 52, I moved to a Japanese manufacturer company and had worked for 11 years.
As a personnel manager, I engaged in hiring Indian graduates.
Then for two years, I went to Tashkent in Uzbekistan as a JICA senior volunteer.
I taught "corporate finance" at Tashkent Financial Institute in English.
I got the guide license in 2017, After I came back to Tokyo, I am working as a volunteer guide,
especially in Shinjuku.
I hope to create special and deep tours in which tourists are interested but by now they were not
able to gain access to.
For example; Visit to various Universities, Visit to narrow streets in Tokyo, Visit to feel Edo (Now and Then)
My hobby is playing the guitar. I hope we are in peace through music.
I am also interested in Art, History and cooking.
My major subject is economics and finance.

“Hakone great experience with Naoya san”
I had a great time with Mr Naoya. Despite the rain and wind we were still able to enjoy the Hakone trip. It was great to explore the mountains, learn about history and buy items.

“2 excellent days spent with Nao”
We booked Nao for our first day in Japan which was a tour around Tokyo. This was a great way to start our travels in Japan. Nao was very helpful with everything. We then had a wonderful day with him travelling to Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi-ko. He knew the best places to go for pictures and great places to eat
