Asakusa Sensoji and Nakamise Shopping Street
Also known as Asakusa Temple, Sensoji Temple is one of the most popular tourist sites in Tokyo which dates back from the year 645. To reach the temple, you go in via an iconic gate called Kaminarimon. You also pass by a series of shops in a street called Nakamise. It’s full of interesting traditional handicrafts and food that you can easily spend hours here just browsing through the goods.
Tea Ceremony Lesson
In a traditional tea house near Asakusa Sensoji Temple, you can drink a cup of Macha (green tea) and also make it yourself with a friendly teacher. You can also learn the basic manner and history of traditional tea ceremony and philosophy of Zen. The lesson fee: ¥3500 per person is not included in the guide fee so please pay it at the tea house. 1-1.5 hour.
Kappabashi kitchen goods street
Kappabashi Kitchen Street (kitchenware shopping street). 15 minutes walk west of central Asakusa brings you to this fascinating street of kitchen and restaurant supply shops. The specialty shops offer such items as tableware, sweets and bakery equipment, kitchen equipment and tools, food ingredients and packaging supplies. You can see many wax food samples (just like the ones you see in the windows of restaurants) and know how they look real.

Welcome to Japan! My name is Chiaki. I’m a government licensed guide interpreter, a wife and mother of two grown-up children. I’ve been living in Tokyo for 30 years so I know the area well.
If you don’t want to miss popular “must see” places, wish to eat a variety of Japanese popular and delicious food, have particular interest in Japanese theatrical arts, architectures, gardens, tea ceremony and “kawaii” characters, or are tired of tourist spots and like to see the real life of people in Japan, I can help you.
My goal is to help you to make your stay in Japan as memorable and fulfilling as possible. If I can serve you to make your special trip more special, it will be my pleasure.

“Tokyo tour”
This was our third tour with Chiaki and a very enjoyable one it was. We had agreed an itinerary beforehand which Chiaki reviewed with us on the day of our tour to check if any changes were needed. Chiaki was patient, understanding of our needs and easy to communicate with. We would thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting a small group tour in Tokyo.

Thank you Toni and Laza, for your fantastic review! I enjoyed every minute with you, Bob and Debby! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed last minute of the beautiful cherry blossoms beside the river. You are a wonderful group and I hope the friendship will last for a long time. Enjoy your trip of life! Thank you for everything!

“Chiaki - the sunshine guiding us through the rain”
Dear Chiaki, A thousand thanks for the amazing 2.5 days we could spend with you as our guide in Tokyo! We learned so much about Tokyo and Japan and saw so many interesting and beautiful places. It was really a great time spent with you! We especially appreciated how you tailored the tour exactly to our interests and wishes and had the right program in place for the rainy days as well! It was the perfect start to our Japan trip. Best wishes, Flurina
Chiaki K.
Dear Flurina, thank you for your lovely words! Tokyo must be very noisy and crowded place for you compared to your homeland. I think you like the suburban area more like Nagano or Takamatsu. You are in Kyoto now, I think. I hope you will continue the journey throughout Japan smoothly, see many beautiful sceneries and have fun with Wolfgang and Madeleine. Thank you and take care!

“Busy and exciting day”
Chiaki was very responsive before our trip and factored in our wishes to her great suggestions. Our 6 hours were packed with a great mixture of experiences which meant we saw so much of both old and new Tokyo. Her English was good and she had lots of interesting stories to tell. She kept up a really quick pace (which was what we wanted) so we arrived everywhere at the perfect time but was always considerate to our needs. She also left us with the skills and confidence to navigate the metro system by ourselves which was quite an achievement. Thank you Chiaki. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others.

Dear Sarah and Chris, thank you so much for your kind review! I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed our time together. It was a beautiful day after we suffered cold and rainy days and I’m glad we were able to fit in so much to enjoy the mix of old and new Tokyo. It must have been a big day for you by the time you left TeamLab…It’s great to hear that you felt confident navigating the metro system. I was worrying if you moved smoothly after Shibuya Sky. Thank you again for the recommendation, and I hope you have many more wonderful adventures in Japan and Korea. Safe travels!
