The Nihombashi district in central Tokyo has been a center of Japanese business and culture, a hub for merchants and craftsmen since the start of the Edo dra. We will visit some of the famous shops incluidng Kiya (Japanese knife shop), Senbikiya (fruits shop) and Mitsukoshi Department store.

There're several restaurants offering various kinds of foods in the area. If you like to try Japanese cuisine, I will show you Japanese restaurants in Coredo Muromachi Terrace.
Harajuku Meiji Shrine and Omotesando Avenue
The Meiji Shrine is a sanctuary in the middle of the city away from all the hustle and bustle of modern Tokyo. Harajuku/Omotesando located just outside of the Meiji Shrine is a vibrant neighborhood with trendy eateries and boutiques. If you're interested in young pop culture, I will take you to Takeshita Street, a hub of trendy cute culture. Then we will walk along the Cat Street to Shibuya.
Shibuya
Japan's trend-setting town dedicated to young fashion and culture. It has become a symbol of Tokyo's dynamism with the Shibuya Crossing, the state-of-the-art buildings and SHIBUYA 109. Miyashita Park is a new type of facility combining a park, retail property, and a hotel. You will also see the Hachiko Statue, a meeting spot near the JR Shibuya Station, which is famous as a loyal dog.

My name is Kumiko.
I used to live in New York and London and worked for US companies for many years. Based on my experience, I recognize that Japan is a fascinating country, but at the same time, it is unique in many ways. Tokyo, as the capital of Japan, is a unique and diverse mix of cutting-edge technology, traditional culture, and Western influences.
As an art lover, I am happy to show you many galleries in Tokyo. I received a Certificate of Art Business Masterclass from Christie's.
As a guide, I'd like to explain to my guests about Japanese culture as well as background and introduce popular places and food. I think most visitors coming to Japan are hoping both to enjoy themselves and also have a meaningful encounter with a different culture.
I am looking forward to helping you explore my city and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Dear Bruce S, Thanks very much for your excellent feedback. I am so glad you liked the tour, because I was worried about how I could satisfy the guests when the galleries we originally planned to visit were closed on Monday. Please enjoy staying in Japan and come back! With best regards, Kumiko Kawai

“A Delightful Few Hours”
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Kumiko. Some guides can be a struggle to communicate with because their English isn't so easily understood. But conversation flowed with Kumiko and the time raced away far too quickly. As a frequent visitor to Tokyo I really enjoyed being taken to some areas I hadn't been to before. I will not hesitate to book Kumiko again in the future.

Dear Simon, Thanks very much for your excellent feedback. I certainly enjoyed the time we spent exploring the Daikanyama area. It was interesting to hear your work experience and impression of the art at the gallery. I'm looking forward to hearing from you in the future. Best, Kumiko Kawai

“A wonderful day with Kumiko”
Kumiko is gentle, very knowledgeable, and has a wonderful energy to her. I give our tour day a solid 10/10. Kimiko is a native to Tokyo and knows the city extremely well. We covered a lot of ground and what we enjoyed so much was seeing and enjoying some of the less touristy areas. I requested that the day be art themed and it was! Loved it from start to finish.
