Interested in art and architecture? Would you like to visit small art galleries that are difficult for first-time visitors to find? Join this tour and stroll around Ginza! Ginza is a luxurious shopping district but few people know many free galleries are scattered in this area. I'll introduce you such galleries, stylish architectures and shops selling artistically displayed goods.
In front of Hakuhinkan Toy park (4 min from Exit 1 of Shinbashi station (Metro Ginza line) or 5 min from Ginza Exit of JR Shinbashi station)
Anywhere in Ginza district
guide fee
meals and drinks, transportation fee from/to Ginza (We wouldn't use any transportation during this walking tour)
Galleries included in this tour basically exhibit contemporary art works. If you're interested in traditional Japanese art, this tour would not be for you.
You can change the starting time of the tour. But many galleries open at 11am so anytime after 11am would be better.
If you want, you can change the meeting place of the tour. Anywhere in Ginza is OK, so let me know your convenient location.
[What to expect]
I think the Ginza area itself is like a huge museum with lots of galleries, stylish buildings and sophisticated shops. We'll visit several small art galleries mainly exhibiting modern art works while watching unique architectures on our way. Museums and architectures shown below as highlights are only a small part. I can't write down all because there are too many! I'll pick up some of them in this tour. Admission fee? Don't worry. No admission fee is required! They want to nurture artists or just introduce their works, so all the galleries included in this tour are free of charge. Isn't that great? (Most of them are small ones. Just two or three rooms.) If you like, I can also take you to shops selling Japanese pottery, cloisonne, swords, paper, stationery and so on. Let's enjoy exploring Ginza together!

“Amazing day with Jolly!”
I cannot recommend Jolly highly enough. She was not only knowledgeable and fun to explore Tokyo with, she was also extremely flexible and willing to adapt the tour to our own interests. We had already been to one of the spots she was going to take us so on the fly, she suggested another neighbourhood we might enjoy. This proved to be one of our favourite parts of visit to Tokyo so far. I highly recommend Jolly as a guide. You won’t be sorry.

“Excellent tour”
What a pleasure to have Jolly as our guide. As it being our first visit to Tokyo we couldn’t as for a better person to make us comfortable to use the Metro line and to show us things and the history of some amazing places. We are so grateful for guiding us to book tickets for our next adventure to Hakone on the Romance line. Couldn’t recommend Jolly enough. Bev
