Then the next destination is Harajuku full of "kawaii" or too cute goods and edgy fashion boutiques. [What to expect]
This tour starts at Tsukiji. Tsukiji fish market is gone (moved to Toyosu) but we still have Tsukiji "outer" market, where you can see hundreds of small shops, buffets, stalls selling Japanese casual food that you can try while strolling. There are also fish stores like ones in the old Tsukiji fish market. The biggest feature is the atmosphere of the good old-days. Then we head for Meiji shrine: a Shinto shrine located in a peaceful forest. Shinto is an indigenous religion to Japan, so I'll tell you a bit about Japanese religions and history regarding the god worshiped there: the Emperor Meiji. After seeing traditional aspects of Japan, just a few minutes walk takes you to a completely different world: Harajuku! Takeshita street is a trendsetting spot for teenagers filled with "Kawaii" or very cute goods, clothes and even food like colorful cotton candy and decorative crepes. Our tour won't nd there. Let's walk into back streets of Harajuku or "Ura-hara", where trendy shops serve even trendier customers in less crowded neighborhood. If you are interested in art, I'll take you to a free gallery displaying art works of young people. They are far from sophisticated but energetic and inspiring. (If you're not so interested in Fashion, it's also OK to visit Ota memorial museum, where you can see traditional Ukiyoe or woodblock printings.) After Harajuku and Ura-hara, we'll go to the sophisticated shopping district, Omotesando. Walking Omotesando street lined with stylish Buildings is so pleasant. If you like, we can have lunch somewhere nearby anytime or at the end of the tour I'll just suggest some places to eat.

Hello! I'm Jolly, government-licensed guide with over 10-year experience of guiding foreign guests from around 40 countries. Are you looking for a friendly and knowledgable guide to talk with a lot? Are you interested in history and clues to understand Japanese culture? If you say "yes", why don't you join my tour?
Tokyo is a wonderful city having various aspects. With its 400-year history, Tokyo has a lot of traditional spots like splendid Buddhist temples and serene Shinto shrines. You can also find beautiful traditional Japanese gardens. On the other hand, Tokyo never stops changing. Every year new spots emerge and trend-conscious people enjoy visiting sophisticated shopping districts. Various types of amusement are available from digital art museums to cat cafes. And another very important point is Tokyo is full of delicious food!
I love Tokyo and I'd be happy if I could help to make your stay in Tokyo more enjoyable. I'll take you various spots including both traditional and modern ones according to your requests. I really like to talk with my guests about various topics like Japanese culture, religions, history, art, food, everyday life of Japanese etc...
I'm looking forward to seeing and guiding YOU soon!

“A Terrific Tokyo Two-Day Tour with Jolly”
Several months before our trip to Japan in March, 2025, my wife and I scheduled a two-day tour of Tokyo highlights by mass transportation with Jolly. She was extraordinarily responsive to my inquiries and sent us a proposed itinerary for our consideration and comment, offering to make any changes we desired (the plans were so well curated that we never needed to make any modifications or suggestions for other or different venues to explore). Jolly was punctual in meeting us at our hotel both days and organized our tours in a sensible manner to make the use of the Tokyo metro as efficient as possible. She is remarkably knowledgeable as to the sights we visited and provided interesting information in English we could clearly understand (unless Kon'nichiwa and Arigato constitute fluency, my Japanese is woefully deficient). Jolly ushered us through the subways effectively, always sure to let us know the number of stations on the train until our next stop so we would not inadvertently stray. Most important, though, Jolly is a lovely and warm person and we greatly enjoyed spending time with her, talking about her family, daily life, favorite foods, and interests. My wife and I are grateful and consider ourselves incredibly fortunate that we chose to tour Tokyo with Jolly. I am confident that you will as well.

“Perfect for 1st time visitors!”
Jolly was an exceptional guide! She is warm, friendly, informative and very helpful. She allowed us to customize our itinerary like going to a cat cafe and shop at different shops. We never felt rushed or unorganized. She knows Japan, and made us feel welcome while still being very professional. You are in good hands with Jolly! Highly recommend.
