Toshi's house is in the beautiful upper-middle class residential area in the suburbs of Tokyo. It is a good opportunity to learn about Japanese life and culture. First of all you will be surprised how compact the Japanese house is and how we make the best of the space. I will explain our unique food culture at a supermarket. After a short break over green tea, let's roll sushi and taste them. Select one activity from the options below.

I am thankful we had Toshi as our guide on our first day in Japan. Before we even met, she suggested adding Hama Rikyu garden to our itinerary, which we appreciated. She helped us get Suica cards, then taught us how to navigate public transportation. The simplified map she made us was useful as we were getting used to the subway systems. I had some loose ends with our logistics of the trip and Toshi helped me get those straightened out. It would have been extremely frustrating, if not impossible, without her willingness to assist me after the tour.
Thank you, Ann! It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. It’s good to hear I could help you a lot, and made the rest of your tour enjoyable. Transportation in Japan can be a bit tricky at first, but with a little help and the right information, tourists can go around without trouble. Please come back in the near future, especially, during the Cherry Blossoms season (early April)! Hope to see you again.
If you are looking for an experienced guide in Tokyo, look no further than Toshi. She is very knowledgeable, organized and adds nice personal touches to make the experience special. Whether you want to experience Tokyo at the surface level or go deeper and sit shoulder to shoulder with locals for a beer and Yakitori, Toshi will ensure you get the experience you want. I recommend Toshi without reservations!
Thank you, Chris! I'm humbled by your positive review. It was quite an enjoyable evening for me, too! Especially our conversation, as we talked about various topics. We also managed to see both the traditional and modern parts of Shinjuku in 4 hours. We were right on time at the Tokyo Metropolitan Observatory because we were able to see the fascinating twilight that projected the beautiful Mt. Fuji silhouette. It was quite fun to see Godzilla growling and spewing fire on the top of the building, wasn’t it? We barely scratched the surface of Tokyo. Hope you can come back soon. Hope to see you again.
We used Toshi for a tour of Hakone and it was absolutely fantastic. While Hakone is advertised as a popular day trip from Tokyo, it requires a significant amount of coordination to make the most of your time, and Toshi led us on a perfectly timed and flawless trip. The trip included rides on a train, bus, boat, ropeway, cable car, mountain train, and a return train trip. We cannot imagine how it could have been done more efficiently than the way Toshi arranged it. The day was picture perfect and the entire tour was amazing thanks to Toshi.
Thank you very much, David and Lauren! So delighted to know that you enjoyed Hakone with me. Lake Ashi was a postcard pretty with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. I was relieved that we could cover the itinerary planned for this trip and still take the train back to Shinjuku on schedule. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan!
We were with Toshi for three customized tour days in Tokyo. As first time visitors to Japan, and with Tokyo being such a huge city, we wanted to make the most of our time there, and Toshi delivered all that and more. Even though Japan was new to us, Toshi made us feel right at home. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and energetic, and she took the time to answer every question that we had. We cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for a great professional guide to customize a tour designed especially for you, look no further than Toshi. She will not disappoint you.
Thank you for your kind words, David and Lauren! t was a lot of fun taking you around Tokyo on our 3-day tour. We saw many places based on your preferences and sampled local delicacies. The highlight of the tour was the waterbus trip from Odaiba to Asakusa. It was a lovely day and I'm delighted that you enjoyed the huge contrast between the old and the modern in those two places. Please come back here during the cherry blossom season. You will discover another charm of Tokyo. Hope to see you again.
